Guess Tomato has enough readers to make it worth keeping around as a webcomic, even though basically no one actually supports it financially.

Lycopene sells more than most Jump Plus series... It’s views are at least decent as well.

By "sell more", do you refer to generally, or to the loads of shovelware which is on the platform? Because I think its sales still pale in comparison to the actual hits that Jump+ has produced...

You’re overestimating Jump+ “hits”, even a lot of the series with high views perform dismally in sales. There’s still only a handful of current and original Plus series (Not spinoffs, adaptations or sequels riding off proven success) that perform better than Lycopene’s last released volume (Granted it was a year ago when it was still in Jump, so take that as you will).

Will be interesting to how the new volume performs in June after the long wait. but as of the time it moved to Jump Plus, it was definitely on the higher end of the spectrum.

That sounds to me endemic of a large amount of comedy manga there, stuff which likely works fine as some quick bits of amusement for people have a laugh at, but rarely something which people will spend actual money on. How well do more plot based stuff like World's End Harem, Jigokuraku and Summer Time Rendering do, sales wise?

The comedy stuff actually seems to do rather well in the scheme of things. WEH & Jigokuraku are indeed the platforms biggest original series. Summer Time Rendering V6 sold ~4800 in its first 3 days, and ~2700 in its 2nd week which is quite low. Abyss Rage is another plot series with some of the most views that performs so poorly you can't even really estimate numbers. There's lots of plot series that do poorly.

Taisei was quite interesting, the character drama and interactions may be the true scent of the manga like many said, aside from the split personality thing, wonder what direction it will take and how will it make itself stand out
Also, is Fukuda a former assitant to Obata? His. artstyle really reminded me to his
I was thinking his art reminded me more of Katsura or Yagi.

Because Yonkou said it
Why did people think it is coming back?

It’s not because of Yonkou. Yonkou contributed.
Buts it mainly because of Geekdom101, who’s a popular Dragon Ball youtuber.
To Geekdom’s defense, he’s legitimately friends with a lot of people at Funimation, like Chris Sabat, Sean, etc. so he actually has insider info that most youtubers wouldn’t have. and this will be the first time he’s ever wrong.

But I think ppl are gonna blame Yonkou for this one, since most probably don’t follow Geekdom. Yonkou was mainly backing up Geekdom’s confirmations
