Its not even out yet. I think it'll be similar to CSM sales but it to a lesser degree.
Oh, then how do they know its phyiscal ranking? Preorders?

I'm curious what do you guys predict SxF sales will be like in the first month? Specific sales number isnt necessary so a range is fine.
My hopes for it are somewhere between 40k-50k and that with each new volume it steadily grows to 100k+.

Check the date.
I meant the image itself. I don't even know what it's talking about, though. Even assuming they purposely left it out, I wouldn't look too much into it.

I mean, it's pretty obvious Jump cares a lot about Samurai 8.

Too early, the first volume hasn't even come out.
Not denying any of those things, it's just Jump has been so gung ho about pushing S8 that it's surprising to see it not plastered in a piece of promotion.

I mean, Shueisha's marketing department could very well still see Boruto as part of the Jump canon. D. Gray Man and World Trigger moved to Jump SQ, but no one is gonna say they aren't part of the canon.

I'm so puzzled with Dr.Stone

For one part is by far the Jump manga of current roster with best promotion in West, even better than Hero Academia or Neverland in my opinion. You can read stuff from lots of people like Yonkou saying ''is the new pillar of Jump". When you ask someone in West about 3 Jump manga of current era, almost all of them will say for sure Hero Academia, Neverland, and Dr.Stone.

However, despite this and despite the ToCs, Dr.Stone is having poor sales in Japan, so poor that is the only title Shueisha hides the sales number because that would be like admitting the push didn't work. And yes, I still think Dr.Stone has been the Jump title with the most pushing in this decade.

Meanwhile Jujutsu Kaisen is the opposite case. It is having very good sales in Japan, but nobody in West cares about it (Yonkou for example treats Jujutsu like a thing that doesn't even exist).

Seems we are in a situation like Dr.Stone is really huge in West and minor in Japan, while Jujutsu is growing in Japan while not existing in West.

Nah mha will always be superior over every anime in the west. It's just how unique drstone & Neverland are that deserve the pushing. The writing is genius.

For jjk, well you know anime is always more populair than an manga. (Look at haikyuu and BC for example), I bet jjk will be huge when the anime arrives

Personally, I think the editors pick favorites, and they let certain series slide under the radar because they're critical darlings. Look at Hinomaru Zumou, for instance. Poor sales, and the anime did nothing for it, but it stuck around this long despite that.

If something is unique and is loved by the editors, they let it stay around. Of course, that's just my opinion. It would explain Dr. Stone though. Very high quality manga, but with relatively poor sales.

I do think Dr. Stone's anime will help it a lot more than HZ's did comparatively.

Hinomaru sells a lot better digitally, if Amazon is to be believed.

Dr. Stone is nice but nothing amazing, it honestly sells as one would normally expect for a similar series. Also western personalities are just a joke, nothing they say matters outside of leaks that may or may not be fake. Dr. Stone being a pillar is the best joke that I've heard in a while.

I remember being so dissapointed when Yonkou stopped talking about Jump in his videos and became another boring Anituber who talked endlessly about Sakuga.

Do we know the lifetime print numbers for it?
Nope. Nothing remotely current, anyway.

welp \,
too late now

David-kun is a frustrating demonstration on how, even if your actual writing and art is top-notch, if you don't get a conversation surrounding in you in the first two months you'll basically be waiting for the cancellation order.

No offense, but since when is 73k+ 2 week sales poor for any manga, even if it's a WSJ?? The biggest problem Stone is facing is that it fails to be a grower and truly break out, not that it has low sales.

I'm really curious about how Double Taisei vs Kamio Yui is going to go in the ToC in the following weeks. There's only room for one confusing manga with a split personality MC in this magazine!

Look at CSM, JJK and TLS. All three are about monsters/devils conjured from human's fears.

Sometimes I think RxL deserved a bit more time...
