so... with Hinomaru Zumou ending...
viz will be doing every series on WSJ excluding yuuna (and oneshots)

and who knows how much longer is yuuna gonna be there, Isay unknown since it can kinda wrap up everything in 3 chapters, yet in theory go on much2 longer

you avoiding to make an argument about the editor topic, so i cant take you seriously at all if you cant give a proper answer. btw i dont stan black clover so its impossible for my alt, good one for jugding me instead of the topic.... btw i didnt call your BFF and you big dummies, you just keep avoiding the question. all im saying is that guy gave good points why may higuma got axed, and everything gave their opinion & answers but you. @Loverofanime that last sentence you said wasnt neccesary... it defeats your point from 100 to 20.

i just gonna drop this conversation now, just give your opinion instead of attack each other. everyone has the same ground,
It's very easy to avoid talking about the actual topic when a person out of nowhere comes to the thread and says "you don't know how the industry works" when this thread exists for the sole purpose of said industry and magazine. :story

If you want to talk about the editors being blamed for why Higuma or any series get cancelled, then lets.

First question to you. Where's your proof that the mangaka followed what the editor told him to follow? Did the mangaka out right come out stating he listened too much to the editor and not his ideas?
Just like how RainSpectre assumes that S8 is completely unfiltered when in reality it could even be the product of multiple editors getting involved and fixing the story elements over the 2 year period prior to serialization. A lot of these arguments are based on assumptions which people are trying to portray as "facts".
Okay, so what if a volume or two shows some unseen character that was gonna be introduced later on? Every series has that. The character Shinji from Bleach was visualized by Kubo years before he actually debuted the character. Things change as story progresses. Chances are if the series survived, it might've gone a completely different route with different characters.

It's been well established AND documented that mangaka have free choice about whether or not they should take the advice of editors.
Quick example. Again going to Kubo because I was a Bleach fanatic at one point and Kubo has been vocal about his experiences. Kubo's first series "Zombie Powder", he publicly stated how he listened to his editor's ideas instead of putting faith into his own ideas and how when it came to Bleach, he stuck to what HE wanted to do. If you're saying that editors can pressurize newbies then they can pressurize returning failed mangaka (who have already had a series axed)even more.

Stop putting the blame on the editor. The main person behind a story is the mangaka. The mangaka has a choice on whether or not to listen to his/her editor's opinions, read fan mail and take ideas from there, study patterns from ongoing or completed series and take elements from those. And most importantly, like someone mentioned, mangaka can ask for a different editor.

Been replaying Dragon Quest 5 and 8 simultaneously recently, earlier this year did a playthrough of DQMJoker2 and last year replayed DQM2 Coby.
Has had me really daydreaming a lot about how great it would be to have a new Dragon Quest manga in the magazine.
Plus now is a perfect time for a Monsters manga. A new DQM game is being officially announced on the 3rd so how cool would it be to get a new Dragon Quest Monsters manga! Jump's never really had that monster battling type of series take off other than Yu-Gi-Oh and now with how open the magazine is about to be is the perfect time for a highly pushed half promotional half original series.
Give it to someone like Shibata whose art is suited to the material and whose writing could probably boost from working within an existing IP for creative help.

Not surprising since it's a co-serialization with Ultra Jump, but MangaPlus has also passed on Jump+'s Hello World. Still 2 upcoming newbies for this month remain.

Its funny if the Manga is successful, the author gets all the praise but if it is bad, its the editors fault.
A lot of things you enjoyed in Dragonball, came from Torishima guiding Toriyama in the right direction but Torishima only gets mentioned by the public for the bad things in Dragonball like how it went on too long for example because he wouldn't let Toriyama end the Manga. (which is not really true btw)

Sad to see such a bad ranking for Beast Children.

"Heres to you Beast Children, rest forever here in our hearts"

dragon quest by Mashima... :derp

Alright that's pretty wicked.
I'd kill for something weekly and long running though.
Kill even more for it to be a monsters manga.
Speaking of which Kawada would probably be perfect for a Dragon Quest Monsters manga.
He could perfectly capture the youthful whimsy of DQM alongside the cool yet nasty monster designs,

i lost fate time ago now when it comes to sport manga, maybe there should be a batch coming being, ''the sport batch manga''
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Maybe the series become different after the firsts chapter but Sporting salt wasn't a spokon.
And Ole Golazo was decent/good tbh.
i found it good too, i wonder what was wrong why the japanese viewers didnt find it interesting

I can't speak for Japanese readers of course but I didn't like the first 3 chapters much at all personally, to me it felt like a manga meant for people who either don't like football or know nothing about it.

Buy Moria
While we have been through this a lot of times, with how this batch is doing, any hopes for who will be in the next serialization round? Who you want back; vet, rookie or someone having a second chance?
I'm still hoping for Shun Numa to come back to fill the comedy void, Toshiaki Iwashiro would also be great, but I think he'd be more suited to a Jump+ serialization.

I've said it time and time again but I'd love to see Tamura do a spokon.
Would allow him to really focus on his strengths with characters and comedy while still being able to do cool and weird stuff.

I'd like to see the Iron Knight/Red Sprite mangaka get another chance, personally.

It's difficult to know the situation of Tokyo Shinobi Squad, but it doesn't seem good.

Double Taisei and Beast Children also appear just above Kamio Yui in their first ranking, but both have fallen in the next.
Imo, Samurai 8 is as a read worse than Tokyo Shinobi Squad. Latter one, should have been published in another magazine than WSJ. Its pace fits more for a monthly release.

same though. lets be honest, TSS will be the only one survive. i even bet on my life, from all the manga that does poorly or get axed or even doubts. TSS is doing alright, espcially in this era where the demand is so high now.

Give me Shimabukuro with that horror adventure manga. His NEO double spread is still the biggest nightmare fuel of the past few years.

If Tamura returns he should do a motorbike racing manga. I want to see more bikes drawn by him like on this color page.
