No you don't, reaching out and pulling a meteor from space requires energy incomparable to what the water god accomplished. The meteor wasn't even close to the planet either, and the explosion alone that you can see when it actually hits the atmosphere is at a scale that dwarfs what we saw of Merc's sea feat. Jellal parting the atmosphere is similarily superior, parting it not just over the docks, but as far as the eye could see for everyone at different points of the town, stretching over the horizon for all of them. These feats aren't even in the same league as what Merc pulled off, Merc is utterly and hopelessly outclassed by these two, going by your logic.

He is water Dragon. Acno can't do that since he has no element. He can only eat attacks thrown at him.

No i don't it that offensive spell was so powerful Ignia swam through it. Acno no problem doing the same. What does lifting has do anything he can't really damage his opponent.

Blame on it Mashima for not giving his own arc. How can character show feats when Mashima is in a hurry finish the manga.

There is a difference as he actually lifted pre-existing water that was his own energy and power, unlike Jellal who uses hax to displace some sort of space before creating artificially stars of a small scale which is not any more impressive than what he has done before but scales to Spriggan level “mad and speed?” What does being mad have to do with anything? Irene’s meteor is 21,584,324.7 kgs from the size of it, going at Sub-Relativistic best at 9.4% the speed of light, and it does not even come close to what Merc can do.

Acno can eat Magic so he will eat his entire sea.
He can sit on a chair and let Merc attack as much he wants since building level attack won't do any damage to him.

The sea is not magic though, he did not create it, it would make sense that he would eat the magic that kept it in the sky but not eat a naturally existing sea, how do you know he can tank that level of damage since he never displayed such durability?

It was scaled by comparing the size of Erza to it
