Looking through this list, most of them are either forgettable gag author
this is false
out of the 16 mangaka mentioned only 2 (Watanabe & Hasegawa) only do gag

stop shoving your anti-gag narrative down our throats, we are not mindless drones we can see right through you

or have left Jump entirely.
this is also false
out of the 16 mentioned only 4 left Jump entirely (Azuma, Uchimizu, Hamada, YOKO)

Whatever happened to the Kurokuroku and Hime Doll authors? Thought they had potential
they didn't do any new serialization and their most recent work are oneshots

Kazuro Kyou did this oneshot on GIGA

Atsushi Nakamura did this oneshot on Plus

Golden Kamuy is very often compared to Gintama in terms of tone and style
wait what????
who are these people who often compare Gintama's tone and style to Golden Kamuy??
I don't get it, how can anyone that read both manga think they're similar?? do they think Hayate no Gotoku and Vinland Saga are similar too?

Well... those two do seem more like darker shonen, don't they?
There is no such thing as "darker shonen". Shonen is a demographic, not a genre. Whether or not something is "Shonen" or "Seinen" depends on their magazine, and pretty much nothing else.

"Young" label for the most part is meant to cater towards the age group between "Shounen" (WSJ, WSM, Sunday, etc.) and "Seinen" magazines (Manga Action, Big Comic Spirits, Morning, etc).
Uh, but "Seinen" means "Youth" and generally describes any boys' magazine for an audience older than "Shonen". Young Jump is a "Seinen" magazine" like "Big Comic Spirits" is. Sure, they might have internally different demographics that they aim for, but that doesn't make Young Jump not a "Seinen".

I didn't use it as a genre though?

They seem more like darker stories for boys, if you understand that better (as opposed to stories for adults).

Nobody said it's not a seinen. They said that magazines with the "young" label are meant for young adults, whereas a lot of other seinen are aimed at an adult audience.

-Neverland is at 13 million
-Kimetsu is at 10 million

I wonder if Kimetsu will be able to beat Neverland in million copies in circulation at the rhytm both of them are going.
I think it will surpass, as to me Kimetsu will have at least two or three more volumes than Neverland. But I might be wrong and Kimetsu may end sooner than Neverland, who knows?

Neverland is definitely ending first. Kimetsu isn't even at it's final fight yet.

What makes you so certain this is the final fight in Neverland? Taking over the capital is only the first step in Norman's plan, and we can't even be sure he will succeed.

Because Jump literally said the series is at its climax.

NeeNeen, don't post open spoilers in this topic. Furthermore, it hasn't even been 24 hours since the Edited Manga or official release.

Also, don't quote people with open spoilers. I've already edited NeeNeen and Rain's posts, but still, don't do it again, please.

Isn't Kimetsu in its climax as well? I also think Neverland will end in 6 months or so but Kimetsu will soon follow, I think.

Um... I'm sorry, but what exactly are you talking about?

The only spoiler I remember posting is from TPN, but that information has been known for months and the last chapter came out five days ago. Were you refering to some other series? I'm so confused right now. ?_?

(I did understand that we are to use spoiler tags. Will do.)

I see. Anyway, I think it will end next year as well. Neverland, Kimetsu and probably WNL and Yuuna will all end next year. It's just me or it seems the magazine is always changing nowadays? In 2016 we were saying the line-up had changed completely and now it's almost unrecognizable to the 2016 line-up
That's what I think at least

Those series were launched before Viz started to simulpub each new series.

They already said in their podcast that they will simulpub it under the name Mitama Security: Spirit Buster.

They translated previous axed fodders as Higuma and others, why even stop with this.
thats good, finally an new gen gag that get launched in viz. since when is higuma a gag manga?, im talking about gag. wth

Honestly Kimetsu's weak point is the lack of developed characters but also the overuse of sad backstories. The sad backstories has gotten out of hand with each fight having it for the most part. It lost it's weight and a lot of them are forgettable. You can bet Muzan will have it and it will be more annoying since he's the final villain.

Tanjirou is a fine MC, one of the better ones in recent years. The execution of his character is what sets him apart, it's done well. He reminds me of Aladdin from Magi but I would say Aladdin is a better MC.

Kimetsu should end "soon" unless Muzan escapes, which I hope doesnt happen. I got faith in Gotouge
