Raised this question on twitter and feel like doing it here, what's the victim of the Jump axe that you guys think deserved another chance? Interested in the responses.

It's not that there will be 3 years shown, more that it's certainly possible and would allow it to reach a decade. Same with Black Clover expanding out into the surrounding countries for future arcs, it might not do arcs about them all but it's a clear option if it plans to go for a long time.
A decade is too much, only manga that really, really, really well reaches it.

Black Clover has average sales, the maximum it can reach is seven to eight years to be generous.

For the moment:
Fall: Hero Academia, Dr.Stone, We Never Learn, Shokugeki, Black Clover?
Winter: Haikyuu, Promised Neverland, Hero Academia, We Never Learn?, Dr.Stone?, Shokugeki?

For Spring we have nothing, and I doubt we would be getting Jujutsu anime for Spring.

I'd still take Higuma and Neolation over the current batch any time.

Though I gotta say, that 'big bro' moment in Beast children was really cute.

huh, for some reason the text on the panels at the back of TSS vol.1 are in english , even more intriguing is that they are not even the viz versions

I think it's meant to communicate the "Japan is now multi-cultural" idea the manga has going? Hence having the back in a different language.

Because it looks cool, I guess?

At least they're decent English. Other series could learn something from it (looking at you, Conan).

It's Double Arts for me. The series actually started relatively popular, I think? It's from before I started following the ToC so I'm not actually sure. Anyway, it had such a cool premise and characters, and the art and paneling were pretty good. One criticism I remember being made at the series was that it got kinda slow, but, well, if you remember me suffering because of Saiyuki, you know I don't care that much. I think they could have something great there if they gave it more time, but oh well.

and also Naoshi wouldn't have made Nisekoi, which would be the biggest win for me

I mean, if it keeps them at that level, why not? They aren't gonna axe it for no reason. They let HZ go for 5 years with far lower sales (granted Black Clover doesn't have the 'adds variety' card since battle manga is the one genre that's thriving in the magazine). The anime is very popular and profitable, and with a chunk of the magazine about to end in the near future and another chunk flopping hard, the rest of established series can probably do whatever they want. Besides, Black Clover might not be as popular as Haikyuu or My Hero Academia, but I think it's fair to call it a staple of the magazine at this point. It probably drives many people to buy the magazine. And now that the huge long-runners that were Bleach, Naruto and Gintama are gone, Shueisha could be looking for substitutes. Series that people can trust to always be there for a long time and carry the magazine while everything else comes and goes.

I mean Double Arts got a second cover and extra-length chapter pretty early in, so editorial at the very least thought it had potential. It’s definitely one of the series I’d like to see more of myself as well.

Other cancelled series that feel like they deserved more to me are Shinmai Fukei Killco-san (which to be fair did get an in-volume epilogue and a four-chapter sequel, so it got a lot for a little series) and Belmondo le Visiteur.

But like... I dunno, I adore cancelled Jump manga. It’s my thing. But a bit part of why I like them is that they failed. So they lose some of the magic if they come back or succeed and such. So I’m happy with the lengths of 99% of the ones I’ve read

Are we not counting One Piece? or is that granted
if we count former WSJ titles then Boruto and Japan anime are still ongoing with no sign of ending
and the mysterious Yugioh 2020 anime is also coming

Yeah, I took One Piece and Boruto for granted. The other long running series, Black Clover, has the incognite about if it is continuing in Fall.

The Yu-gi-oh 2020 anime is a strange situation since it seems VRAINS is ending this month, so there wouldn't be a Yu-gi-oh anime series this Fall.

If We Never Learn was a split cour to begin with, then there’s pretty much no chance it’ll continue into Winter. Stone is confirmed to only be 2 cours. Soma may very well be split cour, though can’t say yet. Hoping Haikyu is only one cour given the worries surrounding it’s scheduling, and given they’ve cut out some content from the broadcast as OVAs.

Speaking of though, both Act-age and Jujutsu are at the length where it wouldn’t be odd to see an anime announcement any month now. That’s an exciting thought.

I was thinking about Jump top-3 selling places. 2019 we have granted that are going to be One Piece, Neverland and Kimetsu.

2020 is going to be pretty interesting:
-Hero Academia is going to come back strong for two reasons: S4 anime, and that the next volume (the main reason that I see it losing this year against 5toubun) is in December, which counts for 2020.
-Haikyuu is also going to come back strong with S4 anime.
-Neverland has in Winter the S2 anime. However, if it ends in early 2020, it maybe will fall positions in second half.
-Kimetsu is the big question. If it gets S2 in Spring (I think so), then it will continue like in 2019. Another incognite could be if Kimetsu is ending next year and when.

Basically 2020 will continue having Neverland and Kimetsu strong but with chances of them ending soon, and the return of Hero Academia and Haikyuu.

Now hyphotizing in a longer scenario aka 2021, I see Hero Academia and Haikyuu 100% recovering their top-3 places since Neverland would be over, and I'm pretty sure Kimetsu too. Only title that could maybe threat them would be maybe Jujutsu and depending of its anime.

I can't take Black Clover and Dr.Stone in consideration. This is a four-legged race. Also, I don't see Black Clover or Dr.Stone even being able to reach the Oricon top-10 in a 2021 situation without Neverland or Kimetsu. Still, is going to be an interesting scenario since it won't have Nanatsu, 5toubun or Shingeki neither, so I can't wait to see what new titles would be reaching the top-10 in the future.

i remembered something else, Saiki Kusou new season still doesn't have an airing date yet
that's something else in the future to look forward to

I think, regarding 2021, Jump will need a new title to sell like Kimetsu and Neverland. Maybe Jujutsu will grow to that point, maybe a new 2020 series will be a hit. How much did Neverland sell in its second year? But yeah, Jump is on the verge of losing many of its most popular series (it's not impossible that Haikyu ends late 2020/early 2021 as well), so it's interesting to see what will pick up the slack.

TPN is just 2020 and "Uchi Tama!? ~Uchi no Tama Shirimasen ka?~" is airing in Noitamina for winter so it probably isn't a winter show unless it moves to a different block.
