I like the idea of having some more positive discussion in this thread. So let's get positive!

Which 2019 debut are you enjoying most? Is there anything in this serialization year you think deserves to stay?

For me, I think it's Tokyo Shinobi Squad. It's not doing anything particularly revolutionary or groundbreaking for the shonen battle genre, but it has pretty good execution on a lot of the genre's core elements. The main cast is made up of really likeable characters. my favorite being En, an adorable and earnest kid with an eidetic memory. The powersets are pretty cool, I like what they've shown of the Ninpo system so far and how En's memory powers work, I feel like there's potential for all of that to develop in neat ways. And I love the art. It's perfect for action scenes, and characters emote with a lot of personality. It's not reinventing the wheel by any means, but it's doing a surprisingly good job spinning that wheel. I think what TSS really needs is the opportunity to start a major arc with an engaging villain, so I hope that it gets to stay for at least another round so it can do that. I get the vibe that it will.

I also think that Mission: Yozakura Family is very promising, and Mitama Security just cracks me up, man.

To be fair, the current batch is really bad. I don't think anyone here would be sad when Double Taisei and Beast Children are cancelled. At least Saiyuki had potential.
Sad guy for Taisei here! Though I understand, of course, why the axe is inevitable.

It's not that, it's just that it's hard to get invested in something that might end soon and is also not that good, so people are already looking forward to the new series and hoping they will be more enjoyable.
Really? It's 5 minutes max each chapter, since Viz started to translate everything from start to finish I never dropped anything, I read it in the subway anyway so... And I make a ranking every week and dropping would mess with it. :P
Generally I'm not that critical like "wow, this is terrible, a waste of time, so gotta drop it".
It happens generally with comedies like Mitama and I also dropped David-kun if I remember correctly, because if I don't find them funny, there is nothing else to talk about it.

If Jump+ counts, I'm liking Arata quite a bit. It has an original art style and an engaging mystery combined with a sense of adventure.

If not, then the title goes to TSS. Not because it's that great (even though I do enjoy it), but because - to say it with an expression from my country - in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Yeesh, the Samurai 8 "community" is utterly awful. Say even one thing that can be taken as somewhat negative and they'll hound you for being a "hater" with no room for counter-argument.

Spy x Family is Jump+ counts. If not I'm probably the one person still enjoying Beast Children each week.

I think we're way past one at this point.
Nope. My friend made a single comment on twitter about how vitriolic the series "fans" are, and they HOUNDED him.

Samurai 8 and Yozakura-san, but i don't really hate any of the new mangas.

You're really not the one to do this kind of claim when you have been nothing but 100% negative about this manga since the beginning to the point where people gets annoyed by.

For me, it's Samurai 8. And it's not even really close. I don't think it is great yet, just... solidly good. Runner-up would be Taisei, if I had to pick one.

Serialization that deserves to stay, hm... Taisei and Yozakura, the latter purely based on having potential that we will have to see how it plays out. Yui, Beast Children, TSS and Mitama can all get the axe and I wouldn't bat an eye.
(I'm not counting Chainsawman here since I'm personally couting the in-store date and not the cover date, so CSM falls into 2018 for me)

Not what I meant. I do read the series and sometimes enjoy them, but I'm not getting invested. I'm not falling in love with the characters, I'm not fantasising about all the great adventures they will have and I'm not scouring the web for fanart.

Because they're not that great and I know we will probably have to say goodbye soon.

I'm going to follow Beast Children and Double Taisei till the end, but I'm also already wondering what new series will be starting next and if it will be able to catch my interest... So it's more of a 'moving towards the future' kind of thing.

My favorite 2019 debut is, well, Saiyuki.

But Yozakura has a ton of potential, so I hope it can last. I feel like it fills a niche of not completely gag but still mainly comedy-focused series that the magazine does not currently have, which may benefit it. And well, the three chapters so far were really fun, and (although it doesn't mean much) it's going relatively well in M+

Definitely Samurai 8. Hands down.

Also TSS but not as much as S8.

My favorite debut in 2019 is Kamio Yui, especially the last chapters. I really like the MC.

I also like Yozakura, especially chapter 3.

The guy who said, "Samurai 8 fans are really gonna make me glad that manga gets axed if it does."?

my problem with BC is that I don't see much potential/conflict after this match.
It's looks more like a miniseries (that is good because is going to be cancelled)

Shonen Jump - Chainsaw Man
Jump+ - Spy x Family

Havent read the 2 new series yet, but only thing deserving to stay is CSM, everything else from WSJ in 2019 has been pretty bad

My favorite manga newbies
Jump+ No contest here, Spy x Family. Sadly, the others didn't grab me so much.

Jump: Chainsaw Man started in Issue 1 of 2019 so I will count so. Calendar 2019 wise, Yozakura and it's not even close. I have dropped every other newbie (including ne0, Higuma and Saiyuki during their runs) except for Samurai 8 because of Kishimoto (which has been better recently).

TSS is Higuma 2.0 for me. Solid powers concept with a great art. Fails in everything else: plot (well Higuma had some grounds by the end but it was little too late for that), pacing, characters, world building.
