Savage Flames is form the chapter is literally called Savage Dragon Fire lol. Much like Dragon's Force was the name of chapter when Natsu gained Dragon's Force.

SF was on par with FDG. Base Natsu is nowhere near close to that.

ust like how natsu doesn’t call himself END despite transforming into END and readers still call it END
This has nothing to do with Natsu using FDK attack with max POF to beat Zeref. Savage Flames was something on Zeref's mind.

Which is what we as readers call this power that surpasses his limits of heat that warps time and space

Savage flames is literally Zeref recognizing Natsu's POF. Even in Zeref's inner monologue it's still not the name of an actual attack or type of magic. Read the dialogue: Zeref is wondering what type of flame Natsu is using. At first he thought it was some type of special "sacred flame". Then he realizes that it's not, and that it's just "a blaze of savage emotions". It's quite literally Zeref recognizing that Natsu is using some natsy POF on him.

Dragon Force and END's power are all physical changes. The names aren't important. What's important is what is actually happening. When Natsu uses Dragon Force, he's transforming his body to take on physical dragon traits. When Natsu is using END's power, he's transforming his arms to take up demon traits. When Natsu enters FDK mode, he lights himself and the area around him with Fire Dragon King flames. When Natsu uses "savage flames", he's using an Fire Dragon King's Demolition Fist backed up with all of his"savage emotions".

Erza is the strongest in the guild until Natsu gets SF, 7DS or FDG back. You can't tell me otherwise since her her can feats craps on everyone here.

Dunno why the hell anyone would think Laxus can fight Erza tier in a legit battle. She would oneshot him with only one hand and every other bone in her body broken lol. Kyria would also stomp bcs she broke Erza's sword which slashed through a meteor that was going to kill everyone on that battlefield.

And y'all said Kyria or Erza were getting scrubbed by Laxus lol. Nope Erza doesn't have bs feats and they are all canon therefore she should scrub the entirety of FT under the WW's control by herself. PoF Queen is too strong.
At the peak of her POF? She legitimately is.

Erza and Laxus can go either way. Nobody is saying Erza would stomp Laxus right off the bat, but if she's pushed to her limits she can very well take him down. She would certainly last more exchanges with Laxus than Wall did, all things considered.

Kyria is a powerhouse. Like does Kyria have any bad showings? She broke out of Gray's ice. She easily oneshotted Wendy and Lucy, putting her attack power above that of Dimaria's chronos soul. She also injured Mercphobia, who even in his weakened human form would still be considered top tier. Kyria's worst showing was when Erza managed to land a hit on her with a sword enchanted by Wendy specifically to help take down dragon. She tanks that attack, and is kicking and screaming about how she'll solo team Natsu right afterwards. All the dragon eaters thus far have been very dominant. Wendy is currently struggling, and Wraith might end up beating up Natsu.

I'm pretty sure Natsu is a tier above her when they are at peak.

peak PoF Erza still didn't beat Irene.

peak PoF Natsu beat FH Zeref.

It doesn’t matter because that is what readers call Savage Flames Natsu. His flames reached beyond his limits which distorted Space and Time itself. You can throw all the dialogue you want, it doesn’t change what people will call and what happened in the manga. Yes and What Natsu is doing is distorting Time and Space with his ludicrous temperatures of his Savage Flames. Something that he never demonstrated before with any heat he showed

Who’s
iced shell is related to ice
thus gray doing it aint that bad
but laxus doing it is gonna be a problem

parents normally seems to give their magic to their kids
lucy natsu gray and wendy all come here (erza is the only exception, and I thought mishma loved erza :bored)

after that it is all bad writing
a convenient way to win, equivalent to a pof power up

if people were copying other people magic, we will get much more interesting and complicated battles. but they never happen.
laxus red lightening and his rune, both to me is a complete bs way to win.
why did laxus train to make technique like red lightening, one lightening that wahl wasn't immune to? did laxus know he was gonna fight wahl an year ago?

If laxus can learn and use rune in mid battle, then why doesn't gray learn requip and gets a fast armour. ice make, ice demon slayer at a blitzing speed, he will move a tier up just by doing this
natsu can really use that teleportation magic

but we never see this.
natsu gets more fire moves
gray gets more ice moves
erza gets more armors
and nothing else

the reality of the world can easily be seen by looking at patterns.
something that deviates from that particular pattern is a asspull, as in literally being pulled out of the ass

you might have seen many boxing matches. you know how they go, their rules. if someone started to use kicks in the boxing match we are gonna have a problem

we have huge amount of battles in fairy tail. people copying others magic doesn't happen (I am not talking parent magic)
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

zeref is a particular case.
let us talk about hades

you know he taught zancrow flame god slayer magic
did you see him use it against natsu
what about time arc,

but that is what we are talking about, erza using time stop with out an armor.
fun fact jellal hasn't either. he used mystogan magic to hide his identity. once he started using meteor, there was no going back
arguing that he learned it in mid battle?? It’s been over a year that he’s had this illness. You really think it’s that big a stretch that Freed taught him how to write runes so he could mitigate its effects, when we know he spent the entire year training? That just seems like a common sense solution.

It’s impressive because it was one of Lucy’s most powerful spells yet it left Mira unfazed. Even though Mira is clearly superior, it’s still a feat nonetheless.

Mira tanking that attacks means the opponent would need much more power than a SDM nuke to do serious damage to current Mira. People stay sleeping on Mira’s durability. BSS>SDM.

Also Lisanna is strong enough to help defeat Ajeel yet she wasn’t strong enough to survive Lucy’s SDM nuke. That same nuke that knocked Lisanna out barely did anything to Mira.
Why yes it is true it does mean it’ll take more power than a Lion Maiden spell to beat her. But in the case of Mira, it’s nothing impressive of her tanking that spell. Because it’s to be expected given her hype considering Lucy is weaker than her. Just cause it’s one of Lucy’s strongest attack doesn’t mean it should be considered to be an impressive feat that Mira tanked. So it’s like yeah ofc she would tank it. I mean she’s stronger than Lucy. But calling it impressive to compare whether she’s at Erza’s level who has history of taking on attacks stronger than a SDM nuke, no. Now again, it would be an impressive feat for Mira if Lucy was stronger than her or used her attack to affect a formidable foe in Mira’s level. But none of the sort has happened. Which is why most Mira fans find it disappointing that she isn’t fighting someone like Erza to show off how good she can fight with her. Just like Gajeel did with Natsu who he done made to be low on magic power. But right now, she kind of is making Lucy look good while not so much for herself. :(

And for the case of Lisanna, we have no idea how it really went down with the fight with Ajeel. Matter of fact, Elfman was there as well and he also tanked her SDM nuke. So one can say he pretty much did most of the work against Ajeel while also possibly protected Lisanna throughout the time being. Really for the case of Elfman, it’s an impressive feat for him that he tanked it given Loke’s reaction to how strong he is that he didn’t expect him to be and most of us always thought Lucy is stronger than him. But doesn’t seem like that’s true until further notice

Remember, it is in her character as well, she can hold back when she wants, the fact she isn't using her stronger forms would confirm this. So she still has yet to get serious. remember, even when Brandish was holding back, Lucy still was able to fight relatively for a while against her.

On the FDKM debate; the way I see it, FDKM allows Natsu to pour more power into his FDK attacks, instead of being a new type of fire (like a quantity over quality deal). Like if Natsu used an FDK spell in base, he could only draw out/use a certain amount of FDK power/flames into that attack without it becoming dangerous for him, but in FDKM, he can regulate that power better and his cap increases. The mode would have to be a powerup or else there would be no reason for Natsu to use it against Zeref, 'cause the heat didn't really have much of an effect on Zeref:

-chapter 464
and if Natsu could use the same amount of power in base, then entering the mode itself didn't do anything but exhaust his magic reserves (and maybe lightly heating Zeref up)

As for the Savage Flames, I just saw that as an upgraded variant of this:

-chapter 19
His savage flames of wild emotion amped his base and allowed his flames to reach a level that could burn through Zeref's time magic (something that his FDK flames, even when amped by his DF, couldn't do). So I don't really think it's fair to use this as an example of ordinary base Natsu's flames being >= FDKM Natsu's.

Why would that be the case? Why would an FDK spell become dangerous for Natsu when he's in base, but not when he's in FDK mode? That implies that FDK mode somehow makes Natsu physically tougher, and there's no reason to believe that is the case. And how does FDK mode increase the supposed "cap" to Natsu's attacks? The 2 strongest attacks Natsu has ever used by himself were both without FDK mode. He wasn't in FDK mode when he used "Savage flames", which was when his flames were the hottest. He wasn't in FDK mode when he used Demolition Fist in Dragon Force, which is when he had the most physical strength.

Speaking of which, Dragon Force doesn't necessarily increase the heat of Natsu's flames. Dragon Force transforms Natsu's physical body with features of a dragon. Dragon Force might possibly give Natsu a larger tank of magic because dragon bodies can hold more magic than humans bodies, and putting more magic into an attack might make it stronger. However dragon force's primary function isn't to make Natsu's flames hotter, it's to give Natsu the physical features of a dragon.

It looks like the only argument for FDK mode being a power-up is that it "must be because otherwise there's no reason for Natsu to use it against Zeref". I don't see the logic behind that statement. Natsu went into FDK mode to release FDK flames, because FDK flames are the strongest type of flames that he has access to. Up until that point, Natsu wasn't using FDK flames. He was just using regular fire. Natsu could have entered the mode for no other reason than the fact that he simply wasn't using any FDK flames before that moment.

Natsu's flames always get stronger when he's more emotional. He doesn't have to use a special mode for it. It's something that just happens. When Natsu fought Erigor, he didn't use any modes. He literally just worked himself into a fury at the thought of Gray being stronger than him, and the heat he generated stripped Erigor of his wind armor. When he fought Zeref, his emotions made his flames so strong that it could burn time. It's still not a mode.

Yes I am also upset that Mira isn’t fighting someone stronger than Lucy but it is what it is. But so far Mira hasn’t been trying and she’s still winning so now we’re gonna see what happens next. She tied Virgo up, tanked the SDM nuke and is currently ploughing Lucy hard and pushing her out.

I feel like something big is gonna happen, since Lucy would need to do a lot to even give Mira a fight. Someone’s probably going to jump in.

actually looking back now, FDKM does not really wrap around him, it is his flames and attacks being unleashed in a more powerful state, All the forms have similar features such as increased power, along with an additional oddity, like DF is transforming more into a dragon, LFDM gives him lightning usage, FDKM once gave him the ability to supposedly bypass immortality. Savage Flames would be in a class of their own, when they surpass his limits and burn him and distort space and time, notice how Zeref said Time "Itself" is burning, meaning Natsu just broke the laws of physics. none of his flames before have ever demonstrated this which is why it would be something onto itself. It doesn;t matter as his flames from any of those times did nothing on the level Savage Flames did in scientific terms.

What doesn't matter is what the readers choose to name stuff. We call Natsu's final attack "Savage flames" out of convenience because it is easier to type that than to explain how Natsu is only capable of using flames this hot when he's amped to the max on POF. You have to be truly confused to actually think it's a separate and unique form of magic. Especially since the dialogue tells us that it's not a special type of sacred fire, and that it's just "a blaze of savage emotions". That all but spells it out as "Bruh, it's just Natsu's POF".

What actually matters is what is actually happening. At the end of the day, what Natsu is actually doing is giving a POF speech and throwing a FDK Demolition Fist at Zeref. The only difference between this particular demolition fist and every other demolition fist that came before it is that this particular demolition fist was thrown with Natsu at the absolute peak of his emotions. "Savage flames" doesn't go beyond Natsu's limits. Those flames are Natsu's limits. If they were beyond his limits, he wouldn't be able to use them without consuming some sort of external power-up. The fact that Natsu can simply work his emotions up to the point where his flames can burn time, without entering any modes, should be a giant red flag that modes don't matter.

Y'all really try hard to downplay Jacob to the max.

Erza's feats againat Irene are complete and utter bullshit. Her PL throughout the arc showed she had trouble against average S12s and needed help beating them. Then she comes and does more damage to a top tier S12 then Gildarts? Don't forget she smacks RoT Acno out of the sky which is a better feat than anyone bar Natsu had in the arc lol. We don't use SF or 7DS Natsu when talking about Natau's PL, why the hell would would we use Erza's bs feats against Irene as well?

Two, Erza got her ass beat by Irene's enchantment on straight fodder so stop acting like Irene's creation are fodder. Like seriously did you just say Mira got beat up by fodder and then try use that bs feat of Erza like Erza wasn't also getting her butt beat by NO NAMED red shirts that were enchanted by Irene? Lol hypocrisy.
The fact that Mira beat Jacob while having no magical power is testament to Irene's power to make such powerful beings. The same beings who didn't give an f about S12's PL.

Dunno how you can call it a fluke when Jacob confirms he doesn't need his eyesight to fight and only slipped up once due to the terrain change and adjusted right afterwards.

NEINHEART had trashed durability and he got beaten by base Natsu something that wasn't downing Jacob as he was straight overpowering Natsu with Lucy.

"He was holding back against Jacob trying not to destroy the guild" "He only used base FD attack so he wasn't serious". <- Bull, bcs he did the exact same thing in the fight against Zeref and now it was shown in the anime he did it against freaking Acnologia lol. Natsu using FD level spells doesn't mean he's not taking it seriously as his FD attacks are still as potent as his FDK level attacks. He also fought Zeref the exact same way he fought Jacob.

You guys are delusional if you think Natsu was going more serious on freaking Bakel, fodder, and the War God then Zeref and an S12. Heck you can add Acno to the list as we saw him use a FD spell against him.

FDKM is stronger than base FDK otherwise the mode wouldn't exist in the first place. Natsu doesn't need a mode to wrap flames around his body lmfao.
He literally went from matching Zeref to almost killing him once he went FDKM which shows his power multiplied in that form.

Also SF is not base Natsu, you can already see that as Natsu's flames doesn't incnerate his arms. But we do know when Natsu went FDG mode he did incinerate his arms so his Savage Flames must be on par with FDG mode.
Bro I agree with the FDKM mode part but not erza part I beleive erza>Mira

They have very good reason to keep the name that is given to what was shown, since it is flames that surpass his heat limit and effect space and time, something that flames within the limit have not shown to do, which is a massive deviation from what he usually does with the heat of his flames. You have yet to prove if his standard flame's heat have done anything remotely on the same level without any modes or powerups. At the end of the day, Savage Flames are what goes beyond the limits and with their own abilities. you have no proof that he didn't go beyond the limits because every instant we have seen he was never burned by fire that didn't have any hax behind them. He would still have magic to use them, he wouldn't just be able to tolerate the heat they give off. HUGE difference. and the fact he cannot go that hot again shows that it is massively different than before.

Well like I said, the mode allows him to regulate it better. We've seen that he can damage his entire arm if he uses too much of that power
Now the damage likely won't be as severe as that, but it could still occur.
The strongest attack Natsu has ever used by himself were both without FDK mode. He wasn't in FDK mode when he used "Savage flames", which was when his flames were the hottest. He wasn't in FDK mode when he used Demolition Fist in Dragon Force, which is when he had the most physical strength.
Also like I said, he was amping himself with that ancient magic that Erigor was talking about. It's not as if Natsu can generate that kind of heat whenever he wants to; he has to get emotional enough to subconsciously activate that magic. As for dragon Force, like you said, he's physically tougher in that form, so he can pour in more power without having to worry so much about his body being damaged(his body might also be able to naturally handle the heat better, due to it being more like a fire dragon's, but I don't have anything from the manga to prove this to be the case).

Well DF Natsu could easily burn through Zeref's weird tentacle attack, while base Natsu was struggling greatly to overcome it, so that could be proof of DF also amping his flames' temp.

But if Natsu can use the flames in his base without the mode, and if his flames are as strong in base as they are with the mode, then entering the mode did nothing other than deplete his magic faster. Natsu may be dumb, but I don't think he's that dumb.:)

Well I don't know what to tell ya man. Erigor says in that scan that Natsu was using Ancient magic. Also, I agree that it's not a mode (or at least, not like any of his other modes);. I see it as sorta like Kaioken. He's briefly augmenting his power in his base form to a great degree and can probably stack this magic on top of his actual modes (although I don't really have evidence from the manga regarding this, too)

You do realize "savage flames" isn't a real mode right? It's a phrase we, the fanbase, used to shorthand describe the one instance when Natsu's power of feelings made him so strong that he could burn time. The correct phrase is technically not even "savage flames", it's "a blaze of savage emotions". We have turned an abbreviation into an actual mode. XD

Natsu only has 2 types of flames.
He has his regular dragons flames and he has his Fire Dragon King flames. His dragon king flames are stronger than his regular flames. When Natsu gets emotional, he gets stronger and his flames become hotter. When Natsu is at the peak of his emotional state, his dragon king flames become so strong that they can burn time. If you include lightning, technically Natsu has 3 types of flames. But technically this is just lightning mixed with his regular flames.

I have no problem if people think Erza is stronger, only when they think Mira is weaker than Kagura or Minerva... I think Erza and Mira are on a similar level like they were portrayed. Only time Erza boosts so high she can scrub Mira is during bs moments which I don't think are applicable in a standard battle.

It is simply flames that have exceeded Natsu's heat tolerance, which is visible with what happened when Time was distorted. which you are again wrong, which is described as Savage Flames or Savage Dragon Flames. it doesn't matter, when something demonstrated a unique or deviation from the normal that means it is something different, especially when the flames breaks the laws of physics. when they peak, they do not burn him, when they go overboard (in this case, adding everyone else feelings), then it burns him, which adds reality warping, that is how going over the limits works.
