I think it's interesting how everyone automatically assumes Fujimoto will write exactly like he did with Fire Punch.

It's something I've noticed a lot on here, as well as other websites. Personally, I don't really think that's a guarantee.

How many more chapters do you think it'll be until we actually see the Gun Devil?

Honestly, I have no idea. The author being so keen on making twists doesn't help in making an assumption either. But I do enjoy the fact that we are aware of him and yet we have not got a single glimpse of him so far. It makes his existence more threatening. I'm sure once he is shown it will be insane.

It's something I've noticed a lot on here, as well as other websites. Personally, I don't really think that's a guarantee.

He's been following the exact same beats with Chainsawman including with killing off characters like nothing its a lot less cryptic than FP though but it still has that tonal haphazardness that makes it a bizarre experience.

I was mostly saying it for the meme. Considering Chainsaw Man has sold better than Fire Punch did to my knowledge, I would doubt he's in any rush to end it, at the very least.

In other news, Jump has done a new "Four Up and Comers!" promotion. Dunno if Samurai 8's inclusion should be surprising or expected. Personally, I'm just happy how we can concretely call Chainsaw Man part of the Jump canon.

BTW, this is relating to an old topic, but I feel like mentioning it because I couldn't talk when it happened;

The reason Naruto didn't get the cover of Jump for its final chapter is because, as explained by the "How Jump is Made" graphic novel from 2015, is that Jump was looking towards "THE FUTURE", as it put it. Rather than dwelling on Naruto's legacy, Shueisha felt it was more efficient to look at what comes next, hence Assassination Classroom got the continued push.
