Yeah, that 600k in a single month and top 2 in yearly sales seem more likely than ever.
I'm not sure what you mean ? According to Shoseki, KnY did at least 664,000 this week. It had already reached 600k in a month in July. Of course, since Shoseki tends to overestimate manga that are currently receiving a boost, it might do less in the Oricon data.
Top 2 in yearly sales is all but guaranteed at this point. The only question is, how much more will it do?

Based on this data, could you say that the next volume of Kimetsu will surpass Neverland?
TPN is at 16M. Will take a weeee bit longer to surpass it in total sales. Though TPN has just two volumes left most likely while KNY has at least five I speculate, so who knows?

It's depends really. As far as i know TpN sells 400k in full week(vol 15 I guest?), How many days this batch first week again?
EDIT: ah you mean total sales not volume sales. Sorry

Some WSJ news:

BC just gonna celebrate every 500k copies now.

also

what is this referring to? because, if it views that is already 22M

It says 20 million votes.

Based on this data, could you say that the next volume of Kimetsu will surpass Neverland?
It will be neck and neck at least, but right now, my bet is that KNY will sell more.

Now to wait to the new MHA and Dr.Stone openings, the last openings of this decade. I think the first opening of this decade was Toriko.
The decade only ends when 2020 ends.

Volume 15 sold around 200k for the first week and another 200k for the second one. It had a 3 day first week too.

10s decade comparison.

ANIME AIRING:
-2010 Winter: One Piece, Naruto Shippuuden, Bleach, Gintama, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Dragon Ball Kai if you want to count it
-2019 Fall: One Piece, Black Clover, My Hero Academia, Dr.Stone

Is fun because you see 2000 Winter and it was just One Piece and HxH (Yu-gi-oh S1 was airing in Spring).

Also, first Jump 10s issue TOC. Cover was One Piece (like the last 2009 issue).

  • One Piece Ch. 566
  • Naruto Ch. 474
  • Toriko Ch. 75
  • Bleach Ch. 384
  • Gintama Ch. 288
  • Beelzebub Ch. 40
  • Kochikame Ch. 1628
  • Nurarihyon no Mago Ch. 86
  • Sket Dance Ch. 117
  • Shinseiki Idol Densetsu Kanata Seven Change Ch. 4
  • Katekyō Hitman Reborn! Ch. 269
  • Inumarudashii Ch. 65
  • Neko Wappa! Ch. 5
  • Kashikoi Inu Rilienthal Ch. 13
  • Kuroko's Basketball Ch. 49
  • Bakuman. Ch. 65
  • Medaka Box Ch. 30
  • Hokenshitsu no Shinigami Ch. 14
  • Psyren Ch. 98

That TOC really emphasis how insanely over-packed Jump was at the start of the decade. That's a good 15 or so manga which are considered established all running at once, none of which besides Psyren would end until 2012. Honestly, it's a miracle it didn't implode beforehand.

For the notice, Sket Dance and Beelzebub had CPs.

It just sounds so ridiculous that KnY could become the best-selling (current per volume) series of Jump after One Piece by the end of the year. If someone had said that at this point last year they would have been energetically laughed at.

I miss Sket Dance, it was laughs guaranteed every week. I think there was no decent comedy since it ended. Kenta Shinohara ended that space series right? Didn't find it on Shonen Jump + line up. Now that he stopped wasting his time, it is time to publish something again on Jump.

Way to insult Astra and its fans, Leoat. Maybe, before you say disparaging things about a series many people love, you actually bother to do some research?
Could you clarify for me what I should know? I read it a little bit before losing interest. Anything else I should do?
And if anyone feels insulted because of a opinion about manga this person should grow up.

So the volume 17 of Kimetsu will surpass the 16 of Neverland ?

It's a real possibility. Only the actual rankings can show us.

It must be said that, before leaving the top 50, Neverland is reaching 575k copies. Kimetsu instead continues to sell, but the volume 16 even after three months still has to reach that figure.

The next volumes will be very close, but I think that Neverland will come out on it again. Still if Kimetsu doesn't have a further explosion by the end of the anime.

I really wish Black Clover could have gotten a boost like Demon Slayer did from its anime.

In my opinion (also probably gonna be controversial), its the difference in quality. BC didn't stand out at all. Kimetsu did.

It's no match for the likes of One Piece or Attack on Titan and at its peak, Naruto was above, but AssClass was indeed huge. Kuroko seems to have been close, but that's it
Tbt when some people compared AC to Dr. Stone to justify Dr. Stone's poor sales not knowing how huge AC was.

Nothing controversial about it. KNY's adaptation was better in every way compared to BC. Season 2 as a movie should be even better.

The anime or the studio has nothing to do with it.

Simply Kimetsu is more liked than Black Clover, that's all.

Even if the BC anime was made by the Ghibli studio it would change nothing.

I mean, look at Shoseki's daily from the 30th. All KNY volumes are the top sellers of the day. The next volume is being released with a lot of hype around it so I wouldn't doubt KNY making it happen. Volume 16 will cross 575k this week and might even manage to get close to 600k. Also, volume 16 was released a whole month before episode 19, which gave the series an even bigger boost. Obviously, TPN might sell more, but I'm still betting on KNY for now at least.

KNY's anime adaptation was miles better, it's just the truth. BC took like 60+ episodes to get an episode that was well produced and a lot of people hyped it, even Crunchyroll was raving about it, but the episode had a mixed reaction. Now, even when the anime gets a really well produced episode (and it has had quite a few recently), only fans and sakuga enthusiasts care.
