I'd love to see a fantasy sport manga. Like Quidditch or Blood Bowl or some other fancy or magical idea with humans, elves, dwarves, etc. I mean, it cannot fail harder than Beast Children plus I cannot remember reading a fantasy sport manga. I know that some manga series got their own board or card games or even own sports as part of world-building but it is never the focus of a manga series.
Ye, there is no other choice.. we need super power sport manga for the next batch

Whoa, there's just 4 issues already? So the 2020 issue comes on december I guess.
Yup. Always early December.
What about the group cover? The Christmas one
Since Jump's year starts in early December, it'll be in the first issues of their 2020.

I'd love to read a manga of any of Master Wong games (Genesis, Hyperion, Super Mariko Broken, etc). I miss Sket Dance so much.
That would be awesome, those games (and how much the three got into them) were funny.

I don't think HeroAca talked or showcased that kinda stuff but given that nearly everyone got a quirk there shouldn't all "normal" sports be full of "superhumans" playing them? Like you'd get Luffy-type people for basketball or someone who becomes a wall in football or someone who phases through players with the ball in rugby or somebody who can control the ball via his thoughts in baseball. I wonder what kinda rules the people put up to prevent "OP hax" that would just be boring to watch and everyone would know that one team is unbeatable due their quirks. But yeah such a "superhuman football" manga would be taking something old and often done and put in something new which would create a "fantasy sport" so to say. A bit like in Eyeshield 21 with all the moves being shown as supercool ones which made them more epic in the manga than they would be in real life.

Shonen Jump Issue 48 Cover: Dr. STONE
Was not really expecting this, but maybe it's because the anime is getting into the next arc?

I know its just one day, but has this ever happened before?
1 9784088820804 鬼滅の刃 17 集英社 吾峠呼世晴 2019.10.4
2 9784088820545 ONE PIECE 94 集英社 尾田栄一郎 2019.10.4
More than this being normal, the most impressive thing here is how KNY managed to overtake OP when it's still dealing with the stock shortage problem and reprints have yet to go out to bookstores.

It happened guys!

Damn, I didn't think it would take such a nosedive. Even reaching 30k for each volume seems harder now.

So S8 sold less than I expected, again. Sigh. This isn't going to reach 30k.

Yuuna seems to be down again volume to volume, Vol 17 did 55,6k in 10 days (same time range).
And Vol 16 did like 54k in only 6 days, Vol 15 70k in 11 days...sigh #2. People seem to be dropping it.

Black Clover is also under-performing, last volume did 120k in just 4 days! Neverland is 25k down from Vol 15 (which had 399k in the same time frame)

At least Jujutsu Kaisen is (slightly) up vol2vol, and so is Chainsaw Man (more than 10k, which is nice).

That OP volume is way under the line, isn't it? It could be because of the typhoon, though. Another fantastic figure from KNY. Selling over 500k even with the stock shortage and after two weeks only is a huge achievement. However, the shortage is definitely affecting the backlog now. SXF close to 200k is fantastic, it's quite close to MHA back in the day. BC and JJK still very close to one another, but BC is under the previous volumes and JJK is slightly above. CSM is doing well, it did in 2 weeks what it did in 3 weeks with the previous volume. S8 just held it this week, probably will take quite the fall next week. HQ is still struggling to cross 500k with the latest volume, all eyes on how the next volumes will do, especially the one after the anime comes back.

Well, at least S8 will maybe beat Hinomaru... I guess?

Also, Kimetsu is waaay ahead of Neverland, I though the distance would decrease in second week. Impressive.

KNY's backlog is definitely taking another big hit next week and the next one since the reprints only go out on the 30th and the 31th. Volumes 7 and 8 are already very low in Shoseki daily rankings, with other volumes falling slowly.

...there’s a Yaiba shortage, right? The Shoseki rankings really had me believe Volume 17 wasn’t gonna retain second place. It’ll... definitely break 600k at this point.

Funny how you all talk about s8 and I am looking at Op new volume sells and daaang I might be wrong but it sells less than 92 volume and thats not make future looks bright.

Watch it become the next KnB which was an incredibly prescient series for the sport looking back on it, (from Midorima=Steph to Kiyoshi=Draymond/KP)

So, the actual numbers of Jump series are:

1. One Piece: 455 millions
2. Hunter x Hunter: 72 milions
3. Haykyuu: 33 milions
4. My Hero: 24 millions
5. Neverland: 16 millions
6. Kimetsu: 12 milions
7. Black Clover: 9,5 millions

And ?
The funny thing about looking at MHA's numbers is, when you average it out, that would make it look like it's actually a million seller per volume, even though it only does about 550k-700k per volume. Maybe that's an angle Jump is looking at?

...there’s a Yaiba shortage, right?
Yes.
We also have to keep in mind that the typhoon likely harmed the sales for every manga, which means we should expect a slightly better than usual third week for them.
Though the Yaiba shortage still won't be fixed
