• Favorite character is Erza
• Lucy is the most difficult for him to draw
• He’s involved in story direction, Hiro asks for his opinions and feedback often
  • Ueda: “I want to work on the creation of the story, and I am prepared to complete the story even though I have a life as an artist.”
• Before sequel he was going to do a FT gaiden/biography but his artstyle was so similar to Hiro’s they asked him to draw the sequel
• Goes in depth about art and drawing characters

Okay, it seems like the person who “translated” that pulled it from google translation. Because if they knew Japanese they would know that Erza is the INTERVIEWER’S Favorite, not Uedas.

Also uedas tweet says this: I'd like to clear this up just to avoid any confusion, but I am not saying that I don't like Lucy. I meant that it's difficult to draw her and make her look how she does when Mashima-sensei draws her! I even told Mashima-sensei that “my favorite character is Lucy!”
