Why can't he restrain himself? Baam already has the power to defeat them if he goes full so instead of beating them using all his arsenal he should try to fight without going full to those who he knows he can win using all. That should make him stronger.

Because it takes longer, and he's not in a situation where he should be faffing about.

Gotta say, white is kinda growing on him. It does seem like a stretch that white has a chance against kallavan... even if kallavan has been nerfed, white is still far from his prime... Add to that, we have to consider that even if white in his prime was a match or stronger than kallavan, kallavan still has just about ideal specks to face an arie swordsman.

so.... now we get bam still holding his power back against rankers... I suppose it makes some sense that bam would want to train the red thrysa more before facing kallavan. We saw the red thrysa injuring yuri when joe used it... it could be bam's best bet against kallavan soon enough.

My crackpot theory of last week is gradually coming true: White has met Kallavan before Baan, threatening him, with the intention of eating him. Next he'll be unable to totally overcome Kallavan and will need Baam's help

He is clearly level above that houndbound ranker that bam beat and that guy wasn't going all out either.

Now everyone can notice that Rank isn't a normal regular? Before Eduan introduces it no one could notice anything. SIU really brought it from nowhere just to keep Rak important in the series.

This slow build-up and constant cliffhangers "just before a fight" is starting to annoy me and draining my enthusiasm. I have nothing against chapters without fights but there has to be something meaningful happening in them and/or a good amount of lore dumped on us. But the last 3-4 chapters look like a constant procrastination. The only bright side is i don't think there is any way left for SIU to drag it any more: White vs Kallavan is happening, Baam and co. vs ranker, even if we jump back to Yama there is gonna be a fight.

Well, maybe if we suddenly jump to Cheonhee and her squadron to see what they are up to, it could go on. Just to have it all (Yama, Baam, Cheonhee) resolved simultaneously in further chapters. But this would be too much delay for my liking. I'm craving some meaningful fights.

Guys, stop complaining about the story. The story itself is already complex since the beginning of the series. The story is about a tower that has 134 floors that are as big as planets. What do you exactly expect? SIU is trying to make this a enjoyable series so stop talking so much and just enjoy the series. Personally, I love all these extra things that SIU is doing for us because you can see that he is really trying to to add all the little extras so that the story is not only about the main plot!!!

Data world - they met irregular, which is the family head

After data world - high ranker, ancient ranker,

That might've been the reason.

Another note is - Rak has been introduced with all those pure descent of native one, having attunement with the power of the ancient.

His rise to power is all but certain, the question is when will that revelation be made explicitly

SIU is just prolonging the story here and now I can understand the criticism this series is getting . The main plot has not even progressed that much. They are on god damn 52 floor or something and there are like 134 or some floors even after 440 something chapters .People will defend it saying that it's fine but it is not . He release chapters every week with 100 panels for years now, maybe that's why solo levelling is a much bigger series than this.

Solo leveling is based on finished novel so story is fixed and small. You can compare it with tog which is a prograsive story. Here even SUI don't know how the story goes. So he needs fillers if he need to move forward.

Though yes, time is a problem right now if Baam can't defeat a simple Ranker restraining himself he only would go to Kallavan to get himself killed even if he use all his power ups.

So are you saying that Baam can't one shot a Ranker using the thorn, thryssa, black march, etc?

Baam can't one shot him with his base, that's why i'm saying that he should fight him using his base instead of all his power ups, because if he uses all his power ups he can defeat Delete easily.

Even if Baam can't one shot him in his base that doesn't mean that he can't defeat him.

All the characters acknowledge bam strength and they can gauge him for the most part, karaka was right on if
bam use the thorn he could've beaten that ranker before he knew what hit him and we as readers have to acknowledge that rankers bam faced always went easy on him due to pride, gado said so repeatedly no one cares, white can clearly sense bam powers he is not saying things to get into his head and he is telling him what he needs to close the gap.

Well, i prefer it this way, it's been a long time since we saw RaKhunBaam fighting together and that Ranker is a good punching ball to practice some new tactics like the combination Thryssa + Fish or Rak's new spear.

Though i agree that Baam could have defeated the ranker alone that doesn't mean that he couldn't get hurt or loss stamina in that battle and remember that he has to fight Kallavan later.

And yes, Koon could heal him, but this way is a lot better.

Red thryssa could injured Gado . It is like using a bazooka against a rabbit .

People complained about the cage arc being constant fighting without rest and said it sucked. Now u craving constant fighting as well? What exactly do u fans even want? Lol.
Let the story build-up to fights and let the author take his time. I wouldn't even mind if SIU digresses to cheonhee's side of the story. We know somehow someway everything would combine somehow just be patient. The major reason u feeling like this is cuz u following it weekly. Its easy to nitpick on things like slow pacing or what not. But drop it for like 2-3 months and binge read it again, I bet u wouldn't notice and pacing problems then.
