Different soul absorption has different techniques, just like franmalth. Mira has never shown that she can absorb a soul without requiring physical contact with said body.

But, they weren't.

She was trying to actively absorb Seilah without touching her, but couldn't bcs she didn't know how to absorb Etherious.

I've seen this claim thrown around on the internet....and as far as i can tell, there's simply no source backing it up. Not only is this not in any of the online interviews that you can find on youtube. Nor has anyone who has claimed this to be true ever referenced an actual interview. Remember, Hiro Mashima's interviews are physical events, and all of them so far are ones that fans have kept at least some records of. It's also not a statement he made on twitter before, as we have a record of all of that.

It's part of a French publisher on manga so I think these statements are true.

A publishing company does not have access to information that we don't have. They don't really work directly with any of the authors. Even Kodansha has made mistakes in translation that they had to walk back on. Without providing a source on where this claim was said, there's no way of verifying if Hiro Mashima actually said this.

They are the ones who asked the questions to mashima after nothing obliges them to post on youtube or other forum. Afterwards if you want a source and place of this statement I advise to call them or by tweeter or email lol

Surprise is one of the most basic methods of hyping characters in this manga.

They don't have access to Mashima. Foreign publishing companies do not keep in regular contact with the authors themselves.

To put this in perspective: Kodansha owns Weekly Shounen Magazine, which is the magazine that runs Fairy Tail. Their office is located in Tokyo. Kodansha USA is a subsidiary of that company, with offices located in the states. They are the ones responsible for translating the official english version of the manga. Here's the key note: The people at Kodansha USA do not get in regular contact with authors like Hiro Mashima. For all practical purposes, even the translators working there are out of the loop as much as any of the fans. Kana seems to be an independent publisher in France. They are unaffiliated with Kodansha, and so are even further from the loop.

Now Hiro Mashima does travel around and hold interviews. It's possible that he made the statement in one of the interviews, and one of the employees working for Kana was there attending. However, again these are public events. We generally have records of them. I don't expect there to be a recording of the exact question asked, but if the interview itself cannot be referenced (like the year and city it happened in), well then we can't be sure the interview itself ever happened.

Man i really hope sensei will give mira a new takeover. Natsu got ignia powerup and thought projection, erza got enchantment and dragon seal, lucy got stardress mix, elfman got lion form, lisanna got two forms, laxus got RL mode....

I really dont know what Mashima plans for Mirajane

He keeps underutilizing her character and most importantly her strength in the series. I thought she would shine in Tartarus because it was a demon theme arc but it was Gray that was focused instead.

In Alvarez arc. She shows another new takeover :Alegria but it was only used against Irene's liutenants.

She beat Jacob but without handicupped ( for both of them.)

I was hoping that Mashima would let Bloodman fight Mirajane instead that would pretty dupe a Demon vs Demon.

I was hype when Irene came to Mira's location but instead she was tortured and was not able to fight back. If only she can at least use the Alegria for another 5 minutes im okay even if she would lost at least we can see a feat from her.

And now in 100 years arc, she is being hype by her Guild mates. But the fight was mostly off screened and its been 10 chapters already but the fight was never concluded. Kyria already lost to laxus. The fight between laxus vs erza was already finish. Wraith is already in the heaven and yet Mashima keep prolonging the fight.

I started reading the manga and watching the anime around 2011 or 2012 when i was still in college and i was fell for Mira's character. an angel face with devil's body (and strength)

Now im waiting for my bar exam results in the Philippines but Still stuck (waiting) for Mira's time to shine.

it would have been awesome if she had used alegria against jacob. she had rest overnight before fighting him (erza's team even slept)

And now in 100 years arc, she is being hype by her Guild mates. But the fight was mostly off screened and its been 10 chapters already but the fight was never concluded. Kyria already lost to laxus. The fight between laxus vs erza was already finish. Wraith is already in the heaven and yet Mashima keep prolonging the fight.

we currently have 3 active dragon eaters, and it's almost impossible to think skullion/madmole will be totally defeated or immobilized (skullion seems to be the strongest and "main char" of the DEs), but look at kyria, after she got beat she's still able to rise up again and destroy the orb, so my guess mira will beat skullion or madmole, and then they retreat and come back. c:

I started FT in 2015 that was when I was finishing my thesis. 2011 was my first year in uni. feeling nostalgic~

I'm starting to have a bad feeling about Mira's fight. While Laxus and Erza(2 of the S-class mages of FT) got 2 full chapters of battling which highlights their strengths and making each other shine,Mira was given 10 chapters of off-paneled fight. I'm still hoping that Hiro has something in store for her as he gave the main and some side characters new power-ups/forms. And I hope Hiro stops trolling us especially the series will be going to be bi-weekly again. I can endure that as long as there's no trolling anymore.

Mashima has disappointed Mira fans for years, but he's been doing some good things in this new arc. Hopefully Mira wins against Skullion and Madmole, then she'd be up to snuff with Laxus and Erza, and the S class title will mean something again.

There's hype for her in every arc, Mashima just generally never lets her live up to it. Hopefully he follows through this time

Actually what demon is her base satan soul? Have we ever got any info about it? Sitri, Halphas, Sayla, Alegria, but this one.... just BSS?

BSS and her other demon forms might be something she killed/defeated on jobs then she used Take Over on them. From what I understood,there are demons existing other than Zeref's creations: Etherious,Deliora and Lullaby.

I think the Base Satan Soul is some Demons in form of a condensed power.
I think the same about Alegria. The form is all Tartaros soldiers, Gates and Plutogrim in one condensed form of power.
She may not have all the curses, but she has accumulated dark magic from all of them.
