As for your metafor, it proves you just dont know what your talking about. Someone who is lactose intolerant is WEAK to dairy products. That is their weakness.

Not all humans are inherently weak to dairy products but a few are.

If Luffy was lactose intolerant, and he for a milk Paramecia user then Luffy would be up against his weakness.

If Luffy was allergic to bees, and he fought a bee Zoan user who stung him... that would be a weakness.

Getting stabbed/slashed/pierced isnt a weakness.

Would you say Kuina's weakness is stairs because she fell down stairs and died? No you wouldnt because that is silly. She was suseptible to the fall damage that ultimately took her life.

Except Luffy who is stretching due to being rubber. He suffers from a cut because of stretching more than others who dont stretch,
Show me a panel where Luffy stretching an injury played a factor... Not a single time.

Luffy got his abdomen ripped apart by Katakuri and was still able to expand into Snakeman that is larger than his base form without any issues.

Luffy was cut by Doflamingo multiple times and his stretching wasnt once indicated to cause him EXTRA pain.

Luffy's weakness isn't blade. And stretching doesnt cause extra damage for him unless it has been stated and I cant recall a single panel of that happening.

Why would stretching make it worst? If luffy's skin stretches when it is being cut the wound will be smaller when it unstretches. And even then, at worst it depends on how tough luffy's rubber is.... which I am willing to bet depends on how convenient it is to oda. Rubber can be a rubber band or it can be a car tire.... At worst there is no scenario where rubber is worst off against slashing or stabbing attacks than a normal person.

Vs Mihawk would have ended up in both his hands being amputated if not for Obs Haki being awakened at that moment.

But.... luffy didn't take an injury from mihawk at the time and the wounds luffy had weren't worst off for being stretched. Add to that, even if luffy took the damage he envision, it wouldn't have been in the same direction his arms were being stretched.

It was very convenient for Mihawk that Luffy's arms would have been stretched though, and it can be for Zoro as well.

Nah, I realize the difference, I just adressed the original point being made, which is that rubber stretching puts swordsmen at an advantage over Luffy. This is all still about Zoro vs Luffy after all.

Edit: Also, on a side note, even if this were a true misunderstanding, calling it a language barrier when I've never displayed less than correct use of the english language (except for the occasional lazy typing) is a rather big stretch.

That's an absurd way to frame things. Stretching is absolutely not a disadvantage for luffy against swordsmen. There are no downsides in luffy stretching his anything to hit a swordsman compared to not stretching. Under this logic you could make the absurd point that garp is better off against swordsmen because he doesn't stretch. This isn't a series where martial arts have inherent advantages over other fighting styles, the main factor that determines victory is power. Even before haki, which only further equalizes armed and unarmed combatants, we saw that luffy had no trouble whatsoever handling weapon users roughly in his league.

No it doesn't. Luffy becoming a bigger target due to his stretching is just as much of a oppourtunity for swordsmen as any other fighter Luffy faces.

How does that make Luffy weak to blades? It doesnt.

The question originally was how are swordsmen (specifically) Luffy's WEAKNESS. They don't have a monopoly on injuring Luffy better because he can stretch. Everyone does

Well, even a younger, less powerful and less quick version of Garp would have been in less risk to lose their hands when attacking a swordsman of Mihawk's calliber.

And I'm glad you mentioned power, because it's the one thing Luffy lacks in this thread without any gears. How would you propose that he counters Asura?

Wait, I am not saying luffy would win against zoro under this circumstances. I am saying he doesn't have a weakness to blades. He never did, never has and never will.

No one is saying Zoro would lose. I have Zoro winning this battle with extremem difficulty. Never said Zoro would lose. I'm saying Luffy is not weak to blades.

Future sight easily counters Asura, he would just dodge it!

He fought Katakuri in base form for HOURS with Future Sight slowly developing.

Losing one's means of attack is a much bigger risk than simply being hit by an attack and taking damage.

When has Luffy ever lost his means of attacking?

Well, I guess we're roughly in agreement then?

The panel shows his hands would have been completely cut had he not awakened observation haki.

Okay I understand that, but it didn't happen. It wont happen, so debating it just seems like a waste of time unless we are really entertaining the idea that Luffy would lose his arms lol

Would luffy win this specific fight? Probably no. Does luffy have any sort of "weakness" towards slashes or stabs and other such type of attacks and weapons... absolutely not.

So you guys think the increased risk of limb loss that is specific to fights against swordsmen doesn't qualify as a weakness? Really?! This is what you're going with?

I even forgot who originally pushed the narrative that Luffy has a weakness to swordsmen

No because EVERYONE has that same advantage over Luffy. Luffy just stretching increases him as a target. How are swordsmen the ONLY ones that are able to tag Luffy better?

Geez, just when I thought we were past this lol.

Go find some rubber, stretch it.
Then, make a cut on that rubber and then stretch it. Observe.
