Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

I thought rising heroes would be the conclusion of the series...

Horikoshi only said he used something in the movie that he was planning to use for the last battle of the series.

So, Nisekoi had 229 chapter, and right now Yuuna have 192 and We never Learn 144.
Do you see one of them surpassing Nisekoi?
It's seem impossible to surpass the level of padding, meandering and literally nothing of Nise Koi. And unlike To Love Ru, it doesn't even have titties. Sad!

I think Yonkou is bullshiting. But heroes rising isn't a conclusion it was just an idea he had for for the final battle in the manga. The movie and the first movie two heroes are still canon though.

That MHA movie claim seems ridiculous, I can't imagine MHA continuing for another decade, so keeping pumping out movies for it like that seems insane.

Should we be worried about the JK anime. They ain't showing anything. Isn't it releasing next season?
that hasn't been confirmed, just that it's airing in 2020 (and that could always be pushed back as well)

The season hasn't been announced it so nothing to worry about yet.

Both Bones and Shueisha would have to be really committed to it if it were to be true.

I mean... on one hand, the movies make a lot of money and grab a lot of attention - I won’t be surprised if Heroes Rising surpasses Two Heroes’ box office numbers worldwide by a wide margin, considering the general worldwide popularity the series has.

On the other hand... the movies no doubt affect the animation quality of the anime, since all of the best animators are simply moved tot hat project while the anime’s going on. It’s been annoying quite a few fans.

If they’re going to make more movies, then they should expand on the cast and the world of the seriesHori wasn’t able to do in the manga. Again, All Might’s exploits as a hero before he met Deku would honsestly be perfect for a series of movies, IMO.

This is assuming all of this is even true, however. Yonkou has been proven wrong (though I wish he was proven right on One Punch Man Season 2).

Unless he can provide actual facts and evidence, its just his opinion or desire.
People need to stop taking tweeters for face value. They are nothing but gossip experts like news outlets trying to get the most hits and clicks.

Furthermore, a studio can "plan" to have 10 movies but if the money they get drop, they will just not make anymore. And MHA's manga sales has seen a decline in the last year. That will get reflected on other forms of media consumption as well, sooner or later.

Yonkou is also tweeting some shit about how we are barely in the epilogue for MHA and that it will continue for a long time. Not sure if he's bullshitting or basing this on what he's seeing on issue #9.

I seriously doubt MHA will still be continuing in 2030 but we'll see.

That's weird, right now in the manga I do have endgame vibes, well in jump terms that equals to 1 year and more.

But in general (also thanks for correcting me, I dunno why I said it would be the conclusion) is Toho or whoever is in charge, gonna pull a Naruto or DB? (Talking about the movies) I think they can make them but not every year, that would be insane for animators and creators, at least wait 1.5 or 2 years per movie.

I don’t think it’s crazy to assume that 10 movies are planned. Often plans that are that far in advanced don’t play out as planned.

It sounds like Yonkou is just freaking out over reading the new chapter releasing this Sunday, which spoilers for should be leaking soon.
Which I’m guessing the plot takes some sorta of turn that’ll show that the series could last way longer than we initially expected.

People are questioning him in the comments about his claims that “MHA has a loooooong way to go”, which I think triggered his “10 films” post. Which is him basically trying to say “TOHO, at the very least, WANTS to make 10 movies, so that shows that the series could potentially run very long”.

Also, we’ve been getting a lot of any post-manga movies for big franchises in the 2010s and probably in the 2020s(Naruto, Dragon Ball, City Hunter, YuGiOh). I doubt Heroes Rising is the last planned movie, and I would think it’s crazy that the production Committee would want to continue making movies as long as they continue making money, even after the manga ends.

You're getting the wrong vibes my friend. Right now we are defiantly getting Summit war saga vibes. There probably gonna be arcs similar to Impel Down and Marine Ford soon

I’m getting the exact opposite vibes. I get vibes of it reaching some sort of halfway point, and that it’ll have a long way to go after that

So, Nisekoi had 229 chapter, and right now Yuuna have 192 and We never Learn 144.
Do you see one of them surpassing Nisekoi?
Yuuna has the potential to.

We Never Learn is clearly wrapping up in the near future and will likely either finish this volume or next volume. Even if it drags things out, at best it might equal or surpass the length of the original To Love-ru (162 chapters, 18 volumes). Surpassing Nisekoi(229 chapters, 25 volumes) is simply beyond it's reach.

Yuuna on the other hand has a pretty good shot at surpassing Nisekoi. It's current chapters would go in volume 22 and it's shown no signs of rushing to an ending in the next month(nor should there be a need for it to do so), so the soonest it would possibly end would be chapter 205/volume 23. Given how long Yuuna's lasted, they'd probably give Tadahiro half a year to wrap it up like they seem to have done for Shokugeki, so chapter 214/volume 24 would be a more probable minimum. That's if they decide to end it right now. If they wait a couple months to see how the new series are performing and then give it half a year to wrap up that would push it's earliest likely end point to chapter 223/volume 25. If TPN and WNL end relatively soon, and/or a few new series flop enabling Yuragi to stay around longer, it's earliest likely end point would become chapter 232/volume 26. Which would push it past Nisekoi.

As you can see this would rely in part on how other series are doing, and in part on how long Jump gives Yuragi to wrap up if they decide to end it. So it's too tentative to say it will surpass Nisekoi, but solid enough to say it has a reasonable chance of passing Nisekoi. As for the series itself, it has plenty of room to last that long. It's not up against in story restrictions like WNL is. It's primary structure of stand alone chapters and short, light hearted arcs gives it good flexibility to either pad things out, or advance time without a major time skip as needed. Aside from the question of how the romances resolve, it has enough remaining plot material and plot hooks to make one or two more longer, more serious arcs as may be needed. So it's not likely to end soon from the stand point of the author running out of material.

Meanwhile, Yozakura keeps having the 'Out of Stock' notice in Amazon, lmao. Been like 1 week since that sign appeared. Guess we'll have to wait for February to find out what's happening with it.
