Yeah, it eventually will. Well, the only risk is the boost stopping before they can actually give it a huge first print, but that seems... unlikely.

Kimetsu has plenty of chapters* to fill the volumes with as of now, so it should probably be

18 - dec 2019 (up to chap 160)

20 - may 2020 (up to chap 178)
21 - aug 2020 (up to chap 187)
22 - nov 2020 (up to chap 196, 2weeks of current year oricon I guess?)

Last chapter released is chapter 191 so it only needs 5 chapters to fill those volumes, I doubt there'll be breaks.

Just going back to a subject mentioned a few pages ago, I think it's relevant to mention that Neverland is consistently appearing with all its backlog on Shoseki, with no real signs of stopping? It's indeed a very impressive boost that was completely overshadowed by Kimetsu being Kimetsu.

Chainsaw 5 sold 99-100k in 4 weeks going by shoseki's estimations, Jujutsu should also have just about reached 200k. Pretty great results for these 2!

Also, went to check and the previous gotoubun volume did 150k on its second week on Oricon (and the first week had the same amount of days on sale). Unless the series dropped hard that may not be that unlikely, which is funny, Kimetsu 18 should do above it. Maybe, optimistically, it could even get to 200k?

I got curious so I took a look at BC's chapters and episodes and the situation is quite awkward. Episode 119 adapted 4 chapters up to chapter 211, meanwhile the manga is currently at chapter 237. BC anime usually adapts 3 episodes per week and has never done filler arcs. Say they keep the same pace and don't make a single episode that adapts 4 chapters, the manga should catch up with the manga in about 12-13 weeks. In another situation, if they lower the pace to 2 chapters for every single episode that'll give them more time, but in around 26 weeks (even before the end of season 3) the anime will also catch up with the manga. They have to start pumping out a considerate amount of fillers right now or else production will collapse completely (not that making fillers out of the blue won't be bad for them too). If that happens, there's a possibility that BC's manga sales take a punch and make the downwards trend accelerate.

Yeahh the anime has been great but they’re burning through content which is a little cause for concern.

I can see them using the next arc as a nice way to throw in filler due to what happens

I'm thinking they'll end the anime right before the short timeskip after the arc they're doing.
Come back with a Black Clover X anime sequel after a couple months or a year if there's still demand.
