Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

Saying again since was deleted for reasons, there's plenty of negative and even troll/hate comments or accounts in the comment sections of Manga Plus and is never deleted, so i don't know what was the case with 4eyes.

Undead Unluck isnt problematic, some people here that want to turn into something problematic while the vast majority can take some crude/dark jokes, btw the series reception on Manga Plus has been great (no controversy) and already almost 100k views with only two chapters, so i don't see why they wouldn't if it survives on Japan.
... I mean, I don't know why your defense for undead unluck not being problematic is that people on mangaplus like it. Those things are not contradictory, lol.

But whatever, I'll drop this argument as well.

Curious: does anyone know of another manga titled "Ansatsu Kyoshitsu" (as early as 1998) before Matsui's series in 2012?

His defense isn't "it isn't problematic because people on mangaplus like it" but "it isn't problematic but some people try to make it problematic when it isn't". Simply as that.

Though the justification for "when it isn't" was given as "because the vast majority says it isn't". Appeal to the masses fallacy.

Everyone, I think we need to take a break on discussing UxU's rape aspects for the time being. It's pretty clear that civil discourse isn't possible right now. Just, please, let's change the subject for the time being.~ Buranchi

So, here's a question I have.

How many of the people here actively follow One Piece? Like, not as a casual read, but as something they make sure to read every week it's out.

Feel free to make comments about how shit you find UxU - just try to keep all this 'rape talk' to a minimum, especially if people are going to start chucking around accusations of users being 'rape apologists'
not that you necessarily were - this is more a general comment than something directed specifically to you 4Eyes

Remember: You are welcome to think that other users are arseholes, just try to keep your hatred in check

Hi zimbardo, I'm really confused. There's a misunderstanding going on here? I was talking about MangaPlus deleting negative comments about UxU, not about Mangahelpers. Anyway, let's move on.

I read it weekly, but since the start of current flashback I put it on hold. I'm planning to come back once it ends.

To give a little more context: in a 1998 interview, Togashi said his favorite manga was Ansatsu Kyoshitsu. So I wasn't sure if it was a translation mistake, or Togashi's a time traveler.

Me. Like, even "active follow" seems like an understatement for me, lol.

I care more about One Piece than any other series and I've been following it weekly for what, 10 years? I don't think I missed a week since catching up. I read theories, participate in discussion forums with friends and all that. I re-read parts of it very frequently. It's one of my favorites and my favorite of the current line up by a huuuge margin. But I'm probably an exception here? I think most OP fans (in the west, don't know about Japan) don't really care that much about the magazine as a whole.

I read it weekly because I always did? Though it feels more done outta "duty" than "joy", like even with Gold Roger there, I just couldn't get as hyped as in the past, but unlike DC I still keep reading OP, so it must have done something that makes it worth coming back to each week.

I've been into it since I was 12. I used to be a super active member on Saveonepiece back in the day. Used to collect the English language volumes hardcore.

For valentine days issue, will it be a group cover or just Bokuben/Yuuna girls be on it? (or for the LCP)

I want to say 'yes'. It's not high on my "OMG can't wait" list or anything, but I've been following it more or less since the early 2000s, so the inertia is strong with this one.
Though since Viz doesn't bundle all the chapters into a "magazine" anymore, I'm pretty sure some weeks I, like, think I read it but actually forget to, because I'll come into the next chapter being kinda "what?".

Used to, like 5 years ago. I don't keep up with most manga anymore.
For me, getting invested into a series means dwelling into fan theories, talking about what will happen next chapter, actively taking part in that community overall etc.

It's too much of a commitment and I don't have the time for that. Typing comments here and keeping a track of how series are doing sales wise is a very easy thing to do compared to that.

Are there any news regarding AA getting a popularity poll? Or CSM? I feel like both are long overdue for one or maybe they already got one and I just never found them?

No, don't think either got. AA definitely should get one. CSM might take some more time, tbh. Don't think its big enough to get a popularity poll yet.

I started reading One Piece since it was first published in Shonen Jump USA, so that was in 2002 IIRC, and I then watched the anime when I got bored of the slow SJ releases (Some times they released 2 chapters a month IIRC... slooooow).

I started reading it online religiously around the Marineford arc I think. (So 2008-ish)

Weirdly enough I stopped at Zou (2018-ish?) but returned in WCI BUT I never read Zou... Idk to me, it was kinda boring, I really need to give it a read/watch.

Also funny story, back in like 2005-2006 I didn't know how to torrent so like I downloaded that week's anime episode of One Piece.. it was a battle between Zoro and yeah. I was a bit surprised, to say the least..

And yes, I love OP, I read/watch theories, heck I even used to watch this dude that kept talking about One Piece stuff like crazy, he is a youtuber whose name I can't remember right now.

One Piece has not always been the thing I look forward to the most every week, other manga/shows like Bakuman, Shokugeki no Soma, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and Mr. Robot have also been my "Most I look forward to" source of entertainment in a weekly basis but it has been a constant in my life for so long that, Idk.. I will probably have mid life crisis when it finally ends lol

In a sense, I truly owe a lot to One Piece (Along with other manga like Naruto and Yu-Gi-Oh, which were also published in USA Jump) since I basically learned english reading them, and I'm an english teacher so... Yeah.

Doesn't seem like either would be the case judging by the next issue peview.

Anyone else here remember the USA Shonen Jump?
