Full Team Natsu was literally going to die. That was the entire point of Ignia needing to show up
I'm using previous cases of POF as benchmarks. All that POF usages previously did was convert a match where MC would lose high or extreme diff TO an extreme diff win. Case in point:
- Natsu vs Gajeel : Gajeel was high/extreme diffing Natsu until Natsu got POF, and Natsu extreme diff'd Gajeel
- Natsu vs severely exhausted Laxus
- DF Natsu vs Zero : Zero was high diffing Natsu until POF made Natsu activate golden flames to burn through genesis zero
- Erza vs Azuma : Azuma went from high diffing Erza to losing to her extreme diff
- Erza vs Kyouka - Kyouka went from having high diff to losing extreme diff
I can go on, but you get the point. These usually tend to be a bit of a push from the norm, in order to overcome a reasonable difference in power level through unreasonable BS, but lets leave it for now :P . Unlike LFD, DF etc which are significant powerups, that turn tides from no/low diff to almost equal matchups (Natsu vs Jellal, Zero etc for DF; LFD Natsu matching/beating etherious transformation of Tempesta, Jackal while base tempesta was matching base Natsu, Jackal)
??
Eileen example is brought up to show that an August level character can one one shot by Erza with broken bones, once slayer advantage is applicable. That's how big of an equalizer slayer advantage is. For comparison, August tanked Gildarts' strongest attack, that he wasn't immune to, with nearly no damage - just a bloody lip. Even Gildarts was amped on friendship, we can we please ignore POF here and just see the difference in damage output?
You wouldn't argue against Gildart's damage being far above Erza's, right?
Gray was like 10 tiers below Mard, considering that DF Natsu amped on friendship did basically zero damage to him. While a clean attack from Gray floored Mard.
