Moderator Notice:
Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

I can votes for WT? YESH! :feelsgoodman
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

I'm willing to bet it's stock. Remember, Honto is just one store.
So basically Honto nearly sold out all of UU first day so even if more people would want to buy it they can't get it.

This week the votes were a lot centered in the same series, also like always BC criminally underrated but overall most things got less votes and Zipman resurecting 1 chapter before the axe lol

I feel like every week Yozakura and Mitama are tied

Speaking in Discord, MHA being 5 million in USA is really big. Seems that Naruto with a similar amount of volumes was in less than 2 million copies.
Yeah but sales cannot be compared that way in such markets.
Naruto/Bleach generation were popular at a time when manga and anime weren't mainstream in the west or most other places outside Japan.
So sales back then should be looked at differently in such regions.

It's the same with something like video games. Gaming wasn't as big as it is today (due to streaming, E-sports, steam) so 1-3 million sales for a major release was a big thing back then while nowadays big releases try to hit 5-10million sales (example being Battlefront 2 from couple of years ago where it sold 9 million but was considered a disappointment as it's min target was 10 million for that time period).

Nice, the first time World Trigger gets included is when it has the most hype manga chapter I have ever read as one of it's monthly chapters. It feels a little unfair almost that it is already my #1 for the next poll before any of the other jump chapters come out lol.

Is the Boruto Manga in Shueisha's top 10 bestselling manga (On going Series, not completed and not all time but year to year)?
Not even close, it's not even top15

In WSJ, it gets outsold by OP/KnY/MHA/TPN Haikyuu/BC/JJK and with the latest stone boost, most likely Dr. Stone as well

In YJ there's Kingdom/Golden Kamuy/Kaguya/OPM

In jump SQ you have Ao no exorcist/World Trigger

In Jump+ SxF

In V-jump you have DB super

Then if you include stuff that is "kinda" running like HxH, Real and DGM it'd probably get pushed to barely top 20

It seems that less and less people participate in the voting. Wonder the reason.
It's been on the same level if you take in count the number of excluded voters is getting lower, we used to always have at least over 10 voters getting excluded, to have a notion, that was some issues where we had to exclude over 20 voters and only 30 something counted, but overall i think is a mix of the rules that got ride of a lot of people who just voted without making any comment in the forum, the users who sometimes forget to vote in one issue but vote in other and the ones who unfortunately don't vote at all.

No surprise that Chainsaw, Yaiba, and HeroAca stole the top three spots with their chapters. Lot of shit be happening. Act Age continues to be consistently well-recieved, but I’m surprised that three newbies placed after that. Though not as much as Zipman managing to resurrect itself a bit before it goes out today. Neverland and WNL are in bottom 5 territory... I can see WNL getting out of this once it’s done with the Rizu route, but Neverland might hang there if enough newbies keep doing well.

Yuuna feels robbed, especially since the chapter came out in English less than a day before the poll closed, but there’s the rub with not getting officially translated.

Will the other M+ SQ manga (Ao no Exorcist, Platinum End, etc) be included in the poll? There is also a SpyxFamily chapter today (the question extends to the V-Jump manga of Dragon Ball Super and Boruto the weeks they get released)

Honestly, I don't even care anymore. I'll let Shinuki decide on that one. He'll probably say yes, though.

I think so.
Japan is taking little to no measures against the virus as of yet, meaning big troubles in the future for the country. The daily cases have also been growing in Japan as of lately.
This manga going on hiatus will probably the first of many
I would not be so sure, although it is true that the central government is not taking serious measures, it is also true that the government of the various cities and citizens are still aware of the risks, not to mention that Japan is one of the very first countries to having had to deal with the covid, and the situation has never degenerated as in Europe or the USA, but keeping the political issue out, I don't think you will see many hiatuses apart from the usual ones like those of Oda goni 2-3 chapters .

After all, mangakas are people who go out very little and dedicate a large part of their life to their work, if there is someone to whom you can apply "Stay at home", they are them.

J+ to have a simultaneous serialization of 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Love You, with Young Jump.

Huh. Interesting. I’m guessing they’ll dump all the chapters then. I wonder if this’ll land in MangaPlus... I doubt it, since not even Kaguya is on there.

Oh yeah, this series is pretty funny and it’s definitely one of the better harem romcoms I’ve read. I’m glad it seems to be doing well because I honestly want to see the author and artist commit themselves to drawing 100 girlfriends. I think it can do it!

One Piece 6375-6376* (2 IDs)
Haikyu!! 6400-6401* (2 IDs)
The Promised Neverland 6535-6537 (3 IDs, break? end?)
Jujutsu Kaisen 6538-6541
My Hero Academia 6542-6545
Kimetsu no Yaiba 6546-6550 (5 IDs)
Black Clover 6551-6555 (5 IDs)

We Never Learn 6556-6559
Dr. STONE 6560-6563
Act-Age 6564-6567
Chainsaw Man 6568-6571
Yozakura 6572-6575
Mitama 6576-6579
ZIPMAN!! 6580 (END)
AGRAVITY BOYS 6581-6584
Undead Unluck 6585-6588
MASHLE 6589-6592
Guardian of the Witch 6593-6596

Go theorize, first two are because of sudden breaks and stuff, nothing important. As for my own opinion, Neverland is probably just a break in #20, #21 or #22/23. It won't end with just 6 chapters in Volume 20. Or will it?

Everything else will keep appearing in the magazine, at least until Double Issue.
