....Huh, that's over a month after Vol 1 came out.

Guess that really does seem to imply that Yozakura/Undead/Agravity really are being printed low, for whatever reason.

Odd.

I found a website listing DVD/BD sales for anime that have over 10,000 copies sold across all volumes from 2000 to March 2020.

Sales figures

The highest from WSJ seems to be S1 of Haikyuu with 25470 copies. Others like Gintama, Kuroku basketball, Jojo bizarre adventure, Death Note, Kimetsu, To love ru darkness are scattered through out. What is surprising to me is the lack of long runners like naruto, bleach, one piece etc. I guess having 300+ episodes reduces the incentive to buy dvds or they weren't just added to the list because they are so long.

Edit: There was a correction I just found out. Can someone explain it?

Removed the three Bleach seasons; just tracking three seasons as normal shows and the rest as long-running was a weird distinction to make purely on the basis of the first three hitting 10k.
and bleach fan always bring this up.. muh BD DVD sales... its laughable..

and happy for dr. stone for holding in top 5...
and there is webcomic comic, croc, in top 10 is weird,,

Off-topic, but, cool, the croc manga sold pretty well. Happy for it, it was an interesting experience.

Kimetsu didn't seem to be affected, but maybe it would have sold even more without the pandemic. Curious to see the specific numbers.

Next week it will pretty much sell what it needs.

Now, I wonder if vol 1 is about to cross the 3M line.

Statistically speaking read: Statistically

more people went out to buy OP or AoT that week than Kimetsu

:3c

side note:

depending on distribution, all but 17 should be above 95 known , with at least 1 (being 1) to be above 95 actual after we got number end of this week

unless this week is is too lopsided, should still take a few more weeks

I think it will surpass the record in the next 1-2 wks.

EDIT: Sorry for my misunderstanding. It's about how many wks the Vol.1 can reach 3m copies, not the whole 2020 KnY sales.

These numbers strike me as...rather low. Is there a Top 20? I’m interested in seeing the full Top 50 for the week for each volume.

I get Japan’s in a state of emergency now, so it’s to be expected, but... still, I honestly thought some volumes would’ve sold more.
