IMO I don t think Gotouge is gonna waste the chance to show us through a novel how it all ended , it would literally make no sense . So I ll wait for a “The last “
wont know about that it might or might not happen

I think that the ones that didn’t have any descendants got reincarnated , the others got reincarnated in their own descendants or maybe didn’t at all . This is so confusing
Well... I'm not really happy with this ending, I like the last chapter more. Now all the ships are canon? How long has been between the last chapter and this one? Did they married between them until this era? Notkanao is dating notnezuko? Are they cousins??
I don't like it when they put two characters together without anything telling you.
Is Inosuke's descendant older than Tanjiro's and Zenitsu's?
In my opinion it is a desired thing, probably to leave the reader free interpretation on how things went on.

X married Y? Are they reincarnations or descendants or both?

Establish it yourself or choose the version you like best.

What then taking into account that we move from a scenario of the early twentieth century to a contemporary one is not that so many decades have passed in the end, in fact Kiriya is still alive although very old it seems to me to understand.

However that Zenitsu and Nezuko got married and started a family is obvious, the two brothers are their exact copy and explicitly speak of the autobiography written by their ancestor.

It also means Tanjirou died from the mark at young age (25 at most). It could possibly mean that their kids had their father for a short time and it would be a bittersweet ending to show how the kids grew up without their father.

Of course it's just speculation. We'll probably find out in the upcoming novel.

Who knows, we probably will never know, but I think Gotouge's intention was this, to leave everything to the interpretation of the reader.

Dying young makes no sense when there was no Demons anymore. The first generation died young because they kept using it against all these Demons. Without them there is no need to use the mark at all.

Question we are seeing Tanjiro and Kanao descendants and Zenitsu and Nezuko descendants

Did Tanjiro and Kanao get married or become lover same For Zenitsu and Nezuko. Gotouge leave that to our imagination. As this chapters doesn t confirm this.

I kinda have this feeling that Inosuke got reincarnated as a botanist man known for his Blue Spider Lily project and his talent for research about the nature and really wasn't Inosuke's direct descendant... But this time, he's matured and all alone. Future Inosuke is like his incarnation Inosuke but matured personality-wise.

man, i wanna hug him cuz seeing this man sad about his experiment getting flopped. :'((((

Good point, now I think Yurichi's case was special simply because he didn't fight demons (therefore didn't use the mark) at all after he was expelled from the demon corps until he found Kokushibou?

In my opinion it is a good move, basically we have seen the events of the present and we know how they end, the final message is that Tanjiro and the others after the events of the manga have gone on with their lives, also starting a family
Not to me. You don't have to timeskip to a bland future to tell us they moved on. The epilogue should have showed us them moving on. We go to a future with reincarnations and mostly carbon copy kids which is dumb. It's honestly a weak ending. I have no attachment to these new gen characters and didn't even get to see the characters we actually knew go on with their lives. I feel like this was a sloppy ending. Reincarnation was a bad idea. Feels like a feeble attempt at a happy ending for dead characters. I rather see Tanjiro happy with his family as well as snippets of how other characters are doing than see Nezuko 2 crushing over Uzui 2. Even Yushiro ending was terrible. Dude is stuck on one woman forever and makes drawing of her while being secluded from society lmao. That sounds terrible and depressing.

Wait so Nezuko 2.0 has a thing for Tanjiro and Kanao's (possible) descendant??

That's a little odd considering they're cousins technically

The epilogue should have showed us them moving on.
But we have seen it.

The demons have disappeared, Tanjiro and co have gone to live in the old Kamado house, the corps has been dissolved ....

The rest is left to the imagination of the reader, if I knew it was not necessary to show ALL their life, they are so young, the time to decide to get married and start a family over the decades will certainly have had.

The thing of reincarnation is not explicit, I think it is precisely something left to the interpretation of the reader as suggested by the fact that Zenitsu's nephew tells his sister if she believes it.

We didn't. We just saw a tidbit of their lives after the battle concluded. We never got to see Tanjiro fully complete his journey and we only get a faint idea of what happened afterwards. That is not a proper ending. Fan shouldn't have to interpret an ending as that means it is not a solid ending lol.

The point of a story is to show the main characters life tho lol. Imagine if we skip Asta becoming the WK and him being happy with a family and just skipped five generations just to see how their offsprings and reincarnations of dead characters are doing lol. That would be a joke. End Tanjiro's journey on Tanjiro not his lineage several generations down lol. We barely got to see him interact with Nezuko when she was not a demon.... The story could've ended with adult Nezuko and Tanjiro reflecting over their lives and how far they've come to obtain hapiness (their family). We could have also seen them talking about how the others are doing while they were reflecting over it as well. Not some weird carbon copy grandkids and reincarnated characters.

How isn't it reincarnations when we have carbon copies of old characters? Lol. Shinobu's lineage died out and now we have Shinobu and her sister clone? Obanai and Misturi clones married each other.... This is reincarnation and I don't think it's up to an interpretation when it's so blatant.

This is story about Tanjiro and main gangs not descendants and reincarnation.

They should have ended by seeing Tanjiro and rest Of his friends and survivors becoming adult and marry and have family

Not timeskip to characters we barely know and know nothing about.

Hence I give this series 7.8 or 7.9 out of 10

We follow this series for Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke and rests

Not carbon copies descendants and reincarnations

Let’s say Kiriya is 120 years old now , since he is the oldest in Japan and we are in anime , this should be the third generation of descendants right?
