Dunno how to feel about this tbh since they're both really overhyped IMO. I like their designs but I can't buy into how much people hype them up.

Ace is a bit overhyped yep, because 80% of his screentime in the series comes from him being in prison and basically a person to be saved.
Sabo has more of a character. Though him coming back I feel was a bit unnecessary since it takes away from the pain of Ace's death. Luffy basically got another brother with the same power

He has no solid feats that I remember of.

He fought Ace for 5 days non stop which is a pretty decent feat imo.

But he is too powerful an ally to have as a Strawhat imo. This is like if Mihawk just decided to up and join the crew because he respects Zoro. It would have been far better if Jinbe remained a distant ally, not being a crew member.

I don't think that really is an issue. Luffy is gonna need crazy strong crewmates as a Pirate King, makes sense some monsters of their own would like to join.

I think this mostly ruffles people's feathers because the aren't comfortable with the power status quo of SHs shifting. People aren't comfortable that the former "Power Trio" doesn't really apply anymore.

He stopped akainu's attack at marine ford and tanked a named yonko attack while managing to push them back.

He is super strong.

In FI arc it is though clearly established, that Jinbei wants to sail with Luffy, not for Luffy.

I dont think it would be as cool if if his ship just joined the fleet. His persona is just too good not to play with in the chaotic good mess that is SHs.

Jinbe's not among the highest tiers, but he's a reliable veteran that everyone seems to respect. In terms of physical power alone, he was able to knock Big Mom off of the Sunny. She was not in her right mind, but that's still a decent feat.

Good to see Brook getting some love. I didn't vote for him, but he's one of my favorite Strawhats.

Vista was strong enough to clash with Mihawk for a good amount of time. Unless you think Teach is stronger than Mihawk I don't see how Ace can be stronger.

Teach plausibly is stronger or at least on similar level to Mihawk. Or at very least has the potential to be. My train of thought being that Shanks and Mihawk had a rivalry thing at some point, and Shanks considers Teach a potential huge problem.
