That fight... where one of the Sannin was so drugged he could barely cast ninjutsu, another lacked the use of their arms, so could barely cast ninjutsu, and the last was so frightened by blood that they could barely cast ninjutsu (or fight at all)

Yeah, that fight really annoyed me tbh
I was looking forward to seeing the Sannin going all out against each other - instead, none of them could go 'all out' (even if they'd wanted to)

Oh, don't get me wrong, I actually quite liked that Sarutobi did that - it was pretty refreshing to see the big villain (of that time) not being able to leave a fight with a Hokage unscathed

Sarutobi went out fighting and took Orochimaru's arms with him, to pay the ferryman with

I just think that fight [3 Sannin, not Orochimaru vs Sarutobi] was bad - not all the stuff that led up to it

that said, I did enjoy that panel with the 3 summons...

I even liked that aspect of it, honestly. Because none of them where anywhere near the top of their game it built anticipation for what a similar battle might one day be like between Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke all the successors of this generation.

That never materialized though. -_-;

Glad to see Temari made it this high. She's not the biggest part of the manga but she was one of those characters that was always good when she was there. And if the manga hadn't run off into DBZ land where wind wasn't enough she could have been great.

Her rescue of Shikimaru was also just a great moment.
