Don't think Deku will and should be #1. He's not even the deserving successor of that quirk tbch.

Gon will probably not be top one as well. The two Ks pretty much put him permanently in 3rd in the manga popularity polls.

With a lot of solid picks from FMA, Ed will probably not take 1st place as well.

Speedwagon might be the favorite to win the JoJo round.

Tanjirou is probably the most likely among all this protagonist to take first place. But he's definitely not top one for me, as well all the other protagonists mentioned above.

Well, thanks to Deku (much like AM in the first chapter) he develops and you can tell that he would never do something like that again. He also busted and busts his ass for her so he is beyond redeemed.

Wow, woke up to a lot of posts to read through.

Let's see here..

About Ichigo. I like him and wish he was just a bit higher. He's fairly likable as a protagonist. The story never spent enough time building around his everyday life for my liking and he's not exactly mister nuance or emotional complexity. But I thought as a protagonist he was good enough. Ignoring the Quincy trash and this bit of course.



Renji and Ishida are both too high, IMO. I consider both to be garbage tier characters. They were just unlikable from the start and should have been replaced with better characters. I guess Kubo felt invested in them and didn't want to do that but in hindsight I think the manga would be better if he had.

Orihime I think is fine. I don't dislike her the way other people do. She's just a gentle character to a fault and falls into the Hinata "dependency" trap. She has some pretty sweet dialogue though. The whole Orihime goodbye to Ichigo scene was terrifically written. Really tugged on the heart strings.

Like Soi-Fong too. Didn't make my list because I like others more but I always though she had a pretty great design and ability set. Never really had a chance to truely shine though. And certianly can't fautlt her for being hot for Yoruichi, we can all relate to that.
