Just love how Yozakura is able to keep pratically tied with Undead despite the big difference in pushing and advertising between the two by Jump, just shows how much more they could be doing for it.

Disappointed in the waste with Fuuko, all that ammo and Yabuki made her look childish like Chika from World Trigger

I was disappointed she wasn't shown in a Diver suit, you know, to have/show as little skin as possible due her Unluck. XD

Being a newb and all I started reading all this thread from the beginning, and I arrived to the part where there was a big discussion about the fact that the lead CP for the first chapter of UxU was portraying the main character groping the busty heroine. Many dropped after the first chapter because of the lewd and presumably sexist humour. So i was wondering what do you think about that 25 chapters later, given that the author has proven that the story he wants to tell doesn't stop at that and it also gained a safe spot in the ToC and a good following even on this thread.

Well, this forum was actually the only one I saw blowing up in regards to the first chapter CP. All others were either just "meh" or "well, he gonna be a pervert and fanservice will be a main factor in this series". As for myself, I didn't really cared much for it probably because I have read really sexist series, like Bakuman, or Series aimed at adult readership where you had it far worse in terms of murder, gore, rape, abuse, horror, etc. For now it is safe but it needs to increase its sales to have a long-term survival expectation, sure with so many new series the chances are good it survives with other series doing worse, as AB and Mitama seem to do so, but I still think it really needs to grab more attention/followers in Japan to be truly safe for the next years. Mashle for example, that one is already there to be in the magazine for years. With UU and Yozakura both selling above 20k in a month, who knows where they will be in a year. We will see.

Manga is relatively niche. If UU survives long enough to get an anime adaptation, there’s going to be a lot more people talking about those elements. It’s nowhere near popular enough to warrant much scrutiny.

Undead is hardly getting any push. It's getting exactly what it needs for doing better than Yozakura or all other newbies aside from Mashle.
But I would hardly call it a push.

I would say Mashle has been getting a slight push because of more color pages, extended chapters and those tiny limited merchandise that came out. But that's it.

That's not the specific reasoning. The reasoning was because the argument was circular, and wasn't progressing.

This was brought up from a brand new user that wouldn't be aware of the rule, which is why I allowed it to remain.

As far as I am concerned, I already got my answers and we can move to different topics (as we are actually already doing).

It probably didn't actually surpass 20k. Though it got very close at least.

These estimates assuming that sales go up in a straight line, but in reality most volumes from 200-300 will be around 18k (the bottom line) and only the last few before #200 will be approaching that upper number. Mashle might not be above 30k by the same measure.

What I find most interesting about these follower counts is that these also include a sizable amount of international fans, as well. Like, you can go to replies from these tweets and you’ll find an influx of non-Japanese replies, especially for Horikoshi’s tweets.
