Huh. That was a bit unexpected. Wonder if M+ will stay with this translation group permanently.

As for the chapter itself, it was a solid chapter. I kinda figured the jig going up in this chapter.

I guess the group was just doing 2 chapters per week until they caught up, that's fair.

It's still weird for Viz and Manga+ to have different translation teams on the same series but I've got a new thursday series on M+ so I'm happy.

Everyone's probably gonna read the M+ version anyway, mainly because it's directly supporting Shueisha instead of supporting them by proxy of Viz. As such, more directly supporting the author. Well... it depends on which link the reader comes across first, actually.

Personally I only ever read Manga+ because it works on kindle fire tablet while viz doesn't support them any more (which is how I prefer to read stuff, I don't like viz's PC reader at all). It does mean I'm missing out on MHA illegals and OPM which I did read but that's just the trade-off I guess.

The only thing I check Viz for is author comments since they post them faster and also show the Jump SQ ones.

I can't find a better quality picture but last year Spy x Family was on top of Luffy, Jigokuraku between Tanjiro and Hintana and World End Harem beside Emma. All bigger larger than some WSJ series (AA, WNL, CSM, etc0 https://i.redd.it/qy3doe3ldv541.jpg

4 chapters in and I'm really absolutely in love with Ghost Reaper Girl. I've expressed in detail with my discomfort in making one of the main characters a pedophile in the main Jump thread back when chapter 1 debuted, however the series really hasn't gone back to that at all and I've just loved the world building and more, alongside all the neat character designs, and panel work.

Kaiju No. 8 is decent, but nothing about it feels all that investing. Shame because I was a really big fan of Pochikuro.

I agree about K8, it's just ok, although I'll admit the OPM punch last chapter was pretty hype

it's not that I don't care about the human characters, they're stereotypical but serviceable, I just want to see more giant kaijuus running around cities hitting buildings and stuff, which hopefully will happen once the exam arc wraps up

Speaking of Kaiju #8, it seems like it's now on a 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule, I was wondering what it'd be like with breaks since Jump+ series seem to take more breaks in general (I guess that's part of the benefit of being there rather than the main magazine, you don't need to stick to the very strict schedule of chapters every single week).

Also Manga+ has two more chapters of the World's End Harem spin-off so I guess it'll probably keep doing 2 ch per week until it catches up like their Kaiju#8 did.

Tatsuya Endo has 2 weeks off (not counting Obon) to prep for the volume release, pretty sure it is not the first time for Spy
has any other Jump+ series have this kind of schedule? Take a week/biweek off to prep for the volume release.

Nice! Hopefully this means that they'll also start adding the series they teased on that user survey a while back and the ones exclusive to the Spanish side (I'm desperate for a consistent Suitô-to! release, lol)!
