It's a decent arc, but imo the parts with the Forest were kinda dull. I think it really gets good when the fights start. Like the Lee vs Gaara one. Or the Naruto vs Neji fight.

It's a great arc, has some of the best scenes and it focusses on 2 of my favourite characters... what's not to love?

@Hermit Forest, dull ? noooo it was awesome, the 1st meeting with Orochimaru, he was so much greater and so creepy, this arc had everything, and i hoped some character would shine like Anko. Fights were great (real ninja fights with strategies) Naruto was still the "loser" i used to love, (yep i love losers, im one of them, and i love "me" lol ) and this Gaara vs Lee fight, one of my all-time fave and it ended up with the emotional 3daime funerals.

All those 1 vs 1 fights were the best part of naruto, since the powercreep wasnt bad at all. Lee vs. Gaara is just pure hype, dont tell me otherwise.

I limited to 1 per series and chose the Conviction arc for Berserk, personally was a lot more interesting than the long flashback arc. It‘s a lot more „current“ so you don‘t know what will happen which made it more exciting.

Glad to see the Chunin Exams making it to the Top 10. Easily my favourite Naruto arc. Back then when Orochimaru was the real deal and not the bitch he turned later on. Back then when Lee was kicking massive amounts of ass. Back then when the fights were still ninja-like and involved a lot of strategy instead of just two demi Gods punching the living shit out of each other. Back then when overall all the characters involved affected the plot in their own special way. That arc had everything: tension, good fights, comedy, epicness, tragedy, strategy and interesting characters.

Also, since I'm in, I want to give Kengan Ashura the recognition it deserves. If you guys like Martial Arts and/or Tournament fighting arcs, I highly recommend reading Kengan Ashura. It has probably one of the best, if not the best tournament arc I've ever come across. Each and every single fight is special in its own way. The choreography is amazing, great variety of characters (with each one of them having his own backstory, motives for participating and fighting style), good plot twists, comedy and unpredictability. The art is also pretty good, and it evolves during the journey. If you're interested I'll leave the thread right here:

Certainly expected this to be higher. To me, there is no conclusion more beautiful than FMA. There are a bunch of series with better arcs, Berserk being a prime example but as with many series on this list (cough cough Naruto) the ending is what flavors the aftertaste of a series in your memory. A bad ending spoiling the whole bunch of good arcs that came before. It's like those oddly satisfying gifs. There is a special kind of warm fuzzy feeling you get when everything falls right into its place. Kinda like with Oddly Satisfying gifs. Characters growing, with their arcs reaching their logical conclusion. It's one whole story told as intended with the final arc nailing it in all the important places.

Glad that you're enjoying it. Haven't watched the anime. I heard it has CGI, which I'm not too much of a fan of. From what I've seen they also cut some of the fights (for example Wakatsuki vs Murobuchi). I don't want to be your typical guy that says that the manga is better, but I recommend you to also check the manga. The anime cuts some things off that are important and relevant for the future

Hate to be that kind of guy but the manga is definitely worth a read. The art is quite amazing and might even wash the CG out your eyes.
