Yep, I saw that
The dilemma was between Ruenheim and the Munich arc. The one with Karl. Those are the best arcs of Monster in my opinion. Went with Ruenheim because I watched the anime recently (Last year), and there were so many memorable scenes.

Geez, the list of series that I forgot to take into account while making my Top 10 list keeps growing bigger and bigger:

• Shingeki no Kyojin
• Kingdom
• Monster
• Full Metal Alchemist
• Vinland Saga

All of them great series with some really amazing arcs. Some of them would have definitely been worthy of being Top 10 material. So disappointed in myself

Glad that you're enjoying it. Haven't watched the anime. I heard it has CGI, which I'm not too much of a fan of. From what I've seen they also cut some of the fights (for example Wakatsuki vs Murobuchi). I don't want to be your typical guy that says that the manga is better, but I recommend you to also check the manga. The anime cuts some things off that are important and relevant for the future

I will check it then. Right after Haikyu. The CGI didnt disturbed me that greatly and like i said as soon ad announcerbabe roared the next battle i was in love once again.

Askeladd is one or the best characters i came to know, in my pen and paper round i play a skald with him in mind.

The absolute best arc of OP. The legendary WB , his crew, the shichibukais , admirals, the past and present all at one place and the dymanics of former rivals working together for a objective, a hate turned into respect . The variety of emotions in one place, the magnitude of battle, the stakes of those battles, the clashes fans dreamt of seeing. Then there was Buggy D clown too.
Each and every thing abt tht arc was real good. 10% the rest and 90% WB himself

What a character ! What a standing death! What epic speech! What an arc! It set the bar in OP.

BTW I don't know if Oda ever mentioned it, but was the design for Whitebeard inspired by Turn-A Gundam? Turn-A aired in 1999,so it's possible. Turn-A was also called 'White Doll' and 'hige=moustache/beard' in the anime
