Correct.

Say I hold a titan and try to use it, but someone uses the founder on me. How do I know my titan will fail so I can use my normal ability instead?

You will not be told that your titan power has failed. You will realize that by yourself at the end of the night phase. If you hold one of the titans that doesn't allow you to use your normal ability and you use it the night the Founder nullifies you, then you lose an entire night worth of actions.

No one is "very" anything for me at the moment, keeping my eye on some of my spamming companions though.

While at work I listed some people that have been online but gave no attention to the game. That changed a bit since then (people like Van, Shad, Bel were listed in it) but some scums have the annoying habit of barely engaging until towards the end, and you know how I feel about inactive players overall... So far, that's what I'll use to base myself. Don't fully agree with your read on some players but I suck at that and it's too soon for relying on my take on subjective things.

Tbh I still haven't gotten around to reading any of it. Atm I have many opportunities to quickly check and write, but no 1 longer timeframe to read more. And checking a few lines of the mechanics every couple minutes would be confusing, so I'm out of this talk til like tomorrow.

Well, the WHT specific one, that Bia and Van were discussing, basically allows someone to escape an investigation of any kind, so pro scum. So the context was that they discussed the idea of a townie getting it so a scum wouldn't (and well built some shade on each other with that).

And scums might not talk either, and in the start of the game there might be a lot of margin for them to claim they didn't do anything and play dumb, but as the game progresses and things start to connect, some titans usage could become evident and those people would be squeezed/contradicted.

About Bia's point, it's easier for scums to try to organize themselves and distribute bids to get different things including the WHT that benefits them, and wanting to prevent it seems valid. But there could be multiple scum parties that would get in the way of each other, and whenever we'd discuss why someone returned no result on an investigation, we'd get that person scrutinized, why I think that a townie snatching it would add to confusion.
