Maybe it's gonna literally end next week and that's why they didn't give it the cover even though it has LCP.

Following recent trend (LCP/cover chapter before ending) and wording it would end in 2 weeks. 3 chapters seem like way too little to me though, but since there is a pretty good chance a new batch starts on issue 50, maybe it'll fill the volume and they gave it LCP now because it's the last chance it can realistically get for it due to new series starting.

What if Chainsawman ends up being the long runner to end in December, and WNL has a new surprise reveal at the end of the teacher arc that it's doing one final harem route before it ends?

I wouldn't be too shocked (but very sad) if CSM did end in December (or even before) but I think We Never Learn will 100% end when we expect, if only because these extra routes have been labelled as being out of five ie 'Route 4/5 Tomorrow Nights Pixie' and we're on the fifth one now.

The oneshot for next issue is intriguing from the MC designs alone. Could be better than I expected.

Kimetus no Yaiba 22 has sold around 326,000 copies in its 4th week. Comparatively, it sold 282,850 copies in its third week, showing the effect of the movie's boost. Additionally it took over all the spots from 1st to 22nd place, surpassing its record of taking over the top 19, and achieved lifetime sales of 90,518,439 copies, being the second series to sold over 90 million copies in Oricon history.

Important to note that many other Kimetsu no Yaiba volumes should also sell more than One Piece 61's yearly sales after the boost. Where there used to be a wall of One Piece volumes there's going to be a wall of Kimetsu no Yaiba volumes now and a wall of One Piece volumes right below it.

No, 51 and 52 are missing, previously it only went up to 50. Either that's a mistake or there is a legitimate 2 weeks break there.

Chainsaw Man is definitely wrapping up, but I can't imagine it ends in 2020, couple of batches into 2021 would be my guess.

This seems to make the most sense, mainly because it is a rather odd occurrence in WSJ where one manga gets the cover and the other gets the LCP. Usually it's both.

Do we have the Oricon numbers for this week yet?

If that isn't a mistake then it's goodbye to One Piece 1000th chapter before the end of 2020 since it won't be on issue 49 and there would be 4 issues left in 2020 after that. If One Piece doesn't get any breaks after issue 49 then chapter 1000 should happen on issue 7. Now that leaves room for another series to take one of the end of the year LCPs if Oda isn't able to draw two LCPs so close to another since he is definitely getting one for chapter 1000.
