Guidelines

Characters are to be chosen from any video game.
It'is up to you to define what is "hot". It sn’t just about abs, or pretty faces (though those help). It could also be about presence, charisma, voice if applied, attitude, and that aura that makes a character unforgettable.You’re free to define “hot” however you want, elegant, dangerous, soft, confident, mysterious, … as long as they made you feel something.
Characters from 18+ games are not allowed. Please keep it appropriate.
Honorable mentions are allowed.
If you want to add comments/explanations, I will gladly add them in the countdown.
As long as deadline is not reached, you can change your lists as much as you want.
Please, rank your top following the usual format :

1 - 10 pts
2- 9 pts
3- 8pts
4- 7pts
etc.
10- 1pts

F.A.Q.

- Are anime manga characters like Bulma or Nami or Comics/Marvel and such characters, eligible?

There are plenty of games that are adapted from manga/animes, technically they are video game characters, but we just had an anime/manga characters round, I believe if possible, I prefer players to avoid nominating characters coming from original manga/anime medium ( I am aware that sometimes it's hard to tell, like in Pokemon /fate series, I believe game came out 1st). I have accepted last round maybe some characters that were coming potentially from anime adapted from original video games, though.

- I want to join but, I know nothing about video games.

The host knows almost nothing about games, however, she managed to make a list so don't worry if she could do a list, anyone can do ! It's about hotness character round, you don't need to have any game prior knowledge, you only have to pick the ones you like,it can help to no for sure but not a requirement. If you don't know any games, you can check out the popular licenses Wikia ( such as Genshin Impact, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, Street fighters, League of Legends, Pokemon, etc.) You can check characters in previous mafia games' video games themes to help you :

- Is there any restriction regarding game eligibility?

You can't nominate several times the same character from different games, if you want, for example, to nominate Link from Zelda, just specify the one you want to feature, I will count only one Link. Otherwise, you can nominate any character from any video game, be it an older game or newer, online or consoles, any kind of game works. Though please, nominate only humanoid characters (pokemon, monsters, animals are not eligible, elfs, androids etc are allowed) and avoid nominating a minor character, like an onlooker, like this:

Deadline : September 9th (but I might extend it, and certainly will do if necessary)

Surprised at the honorable mentions, has some good characters I thought would have some points, but with the character quality of the more main characters I guess it‘s to be expected that most picks will be shared.

The hard boiled Detective I expected to get a few points at least, though I‘d say he wasn‘t as good later as he was in his introduction arc. Did his shtick get stale over time and was only fun the first few times, or was it just that relation to the fox thief in that arc that made him shine more? Not sure, but still worthy an HM for me.

KETCHUP GUY. Fav Yagyu-character for me, he had the most interesting fight(with Hijikata) during that arc, lots of plottwists like him not actually liking ketchup but eating it lots for discipline training, yet not going the full length like Hijikata who puts mayonnaise in desert thus losing out to him.

Oboro wasn‘t redeemed(and that is fine), more like he was „explained“. His actions and what he does and why. His jealousy followed by his guilt-centered sense of loyalty took him to the grave. Understandable and sad lad, though rather fully broken.

Nobu Nobu on the other hand, knows he‘s irredeemable so he uses what little power and use of the Shogun title he has left until it‘s over. Had some amazing scenes and development, fully deserving of appearing outside of just HMs. A man you don‘t love, but you are impressed by his resolve all the same and press F to pay respects for.

Agree on both characters, both well written. Didn't leave a strong enough impression to rival my super mainstream top 10 though.

The most interesting thing about Jirocho is his past with Otose and Tatsugoro, how he gave her up so she could be happy but lost his comrade nontheless.
We don't see him much until the final arc, but his fight provides that iconic still with an enraged Gintoki.

Couldn't find a clip with him trying to figure out names for his unborn child, would've liked to share it.
