I can see it be similar to Bleach in terms of ROTW popularity ~30 million at best. Naruto has something like 90+ million ROTW which is gonna be impossible for Kimetsu to touch.
Do you mens future world wide sales(outside of Japan) ? Or current world wide sales ?

Because I don't think kimitsu is at that level of world wide popularity, yet maybe on a few years but now it doesnt seem like it(unless it really popular in countries that we don't have data on)

We don't have enough data.

But it doesn't seem to place well in France and it appeared occasionally in the American rankings*(though not in the top spot).

*my hero that constantly has multiple volumes in the top 20(most of them in the top 10)in the USA rankings and has been around for 5(?)years in the American Market , has only 5 million in circulation in the USA, demon slayer is much younger and doesnt place as highly so I don't expect to reach 5 million in the US.

Other countries are unknown though.
? It sells really well in France, is one of the top sellers in the USA (MHA aside, which is way above everything else, but again, 5mln is not US only, it's for the whole anglosphere) and is huge in Asia, china included. RoW is still insignificant compared to japan though, but it'll hit 150mln in japan alone eventually at this point, it's inevitable.

RoW I'd give somewhere between 7-10mln max probably, pretty much impossible to gauge tbh.

I meant compared to the top sellers of france(op, fairy tail...)

Yeah I know it will hit 150 mill but the question was about its at that level right now if we add the sales of the rest of the world.

Thanks for the correction about mha, didn't know it was for all Anglosphere.

When a series is over when can we expect sales/circulations updates? Like can we expect updates for KNY sometimes before mid 2021?

Maybe in February with the fanbook and artbook releases.

Like I said I'd give 7-10mln for RoW maximum, even 30mln imho is pretty much unreachable let alone what Naruto is at.

How many manga have sold 30m+ outside of Japan? Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto for sure. Bleach and Fairy Tail should also be around 30m.
I don't think any other manga could be close to that number
No way Kimetsu is anywhere near 30m ROTW. It takes time to sell that many units. These 5 manga did it after 10+ years of good sales. Demon Slayer only really exploded a year ago.

Edit: In France, it's most likely not much higher than 500k. The question is how many units it sold in Asia, because Western sales are probably under 2m.

Hokuto no ken/Fist of the north star's 100mln has 40mln for RoW. Slam dunk is also in the 30+mln RoW club IIRC, and I'm going off memory but I think AoT is fairly close.

Lifetime worldwide sales.

Kimetsu is popular worldwide. Because of how it exploded in Japan, far more people have heard of the buzz and hype and picked it up. Plus manga/anime community outside Japan is vastly bigger now.

But even then, it's not possible for Kimetsu to post numbers like Naruto or One Piece. Even Bleach 30M is a stretch but that's the highest it can reach, IMO. Realistically, I see it do more like 15M worldwide which is still pretty remarkable for a series that only has 24 Vols

I think Hokuto no Ken. I remember that manga is 60 million copies in Japan and 100 worldwide (40 million outside Japan). Slam Dunk too, manga is 121 million copies in Japan and 170 worldwide.

Cobra I think it has sold just 20m outside Japan, Kenshin is 12m, and both Saint Seiya and Captain Tsubasa 10m outside Japan. My Hero Academia I think we are close to the 10 million outside Japan, but not sure.

Sadly Prince of Tennis has had very little repercusion outside Japan compared with the other Jump spokon (Slam Dunk, Captain Tsubasa, Haikyuu, Kuroko no Basket)

More likely next week if 53 weeks
But if 52 weeks, then it has to happen soon (~7-9 hours from now) I believe. And even then, that would be late for Oricon's standard, so 53 weeks looks very likely now
Why 53 instead of 52?

bro stop throwing out the 170 million slam dunk worldwide number https://mangahelpers.com/forum/thre...n-and-toc-talk.3015155/page-1517#post-5382652

It's a tweet made by Heiji that @ the French Editor and Volume 1 Cover of Slam Dunk, when you go to their French Manga website, there is no article that mention 170 million

Shuiesha didn't even update SLAM DUNK new circulation back in 2018 when they released the 20 New Volumes Cover Edition. In fact, they never mention its world wide number

So it seems Gotouge asked for extended pages for the final chapter but didn't get them and this is the final chapter as intended, and the obi talking about "epilogue" was mistaken as the 14 pages are the pages that were originally cut from the chapter.
Btw, ANN translated this stuff differently:
The wraparound jacket band and publisher's preview had printed that the volume will add 14 exclusive pages to the epilogue to the story. However, Gotouge explained that the volume will not actually have 14 exclusive epilogue pages. Gotouge apologizes for the confusion.
Instead, the final volume will include content that were cut at certain points during the original magazine serialization, as well as leftover manga pages that were not included in the main story. Gotouge specifically listed the additions:
  • An eight-page section and a six-page section that were cut from the manga's original serialization (each is inserted back within the main story, as opposed to new sections set after the main story)
  • Four pages of exclusive illustrations
  • Eight pages of special exclusive manga content
  • Two-page text afterword
  • 11 pages of exclusive interstitial pencil-sketched art (similar to what Gotouge has always included in previous volumes)

So these cut scenes were cut scenes from the entire manga, not the last chapter, at least according to this translation.

SLAM DUNK with 170.000.000 copies stated in a Sankei News article back in 2017. The tweet is from August 10th 2017, while the article dates from August 6th 2017, so assuming that's the source of it should be more than fair.

sure I'll take this one, thanks. I believe this is the first time someone shows the 170 number

but it sure raise an eyebrow how Shueisha doesn't deny or confirm this when they re-released the Refurbish version :no

#54 Haikyu
#75 Chainsaw Man
#89 Dr. Stone
#416 Yozakura

Yozakura's fourth week going so far:
#267 --> #452 --> Out --> #500 --> #416
Yozakura is really trying to hold out for charting for a fourth week straight. Hopefully it can keep rising back up again.
