Reposted from last year's thread with a few modifications and additions:
-
Chainsaw Man ends with less than 15 volumes (I'm guessing 12 at this rate). Anime is announced after the series ends.
- 12/2/20 EDIT: Dammit, after hearing the news, I'm not technically wrong, but I actually predicted it ending at 97 chapters a few weeks ago in the previous thread. I was completely blindsided, I shouldn't have changed it...

-
Mashle continues to grow. Anime announcement by the end of the year.
- Undead Unluck grows a bit more before plateauing like pre-anime
Dr. STONE.
-
Yozakura starts growing at Volume 6, but still falls behind its contemporaries. The series will pass 100 chapters and get a cover + LCP for its second anniversary.
-
Ayakashi breaks the curse of well-selling, but stagnant ecchi series and continues to grow through the year. The story will also take a more battle-focused turn (while still maintaining its ecchi elements).
-
Phantom Seer will do better than expected, but still flop.
-
Magu-chan and
High School Family hang around for a good part of the year by pure luck.
-
Sakamoto Days is an instant hit (both in early reception and Volume 1 sales).
-
Build King appears to do well at first, but loses steam after a while, only lasting about a year.
-
Roboco exibits stagnant/minimal growth, but continues doing well enough to become the main gag series in the magazine.
-
Agravity Boys won't last past the first half of the year.
- At least five veterans will return this year (with varying degrees of success). One of which will be a special short serialization (like
The Comiq)
-
Ao no Hako is serialized. Featuring four sports total (basketball and volleyball as well as gymnastics and tennis which were teased at the end).
- Kenta Shinohara returns with the series he's been working on for the past two years (and hopefully he comes back to Twitter while he's at it).
- Togashi returns with another volume of
HxH chapters (even before Kubo comes back with
BTW S2, lol).
-
Red Hood wins the GFC, but the author serializes something else towards the end of the year.
- Shiro Usazaki returns with a newbie author for a one-shot and strong hints of serialization.
Special Bonus Prediction: Jump Plus debuts another series that outperforms pretty much everything in the WSJ lineup, lol.
