This reminds me to start that epic 500 chapter manga usogui.

[Erinyes]

Usogui picks are great , i didnt expect to see Ouki & Riboku as unique picks, same for Tanya.

Happy to see Chrollo ranked too, i could have made a whole HxH list !

This reminds me to start that epic 500 chapter manga usogui.

Started this manga like 3 or 4years ago (maybe more ?), put it on hold, back then sc@nlation has stopped, and if im not mistaken, there is, or there was no Eng of Fr official translation. Seems a team have resumed sc@nlation and completed the series. I can, so far, only recommend this.

This reminds me to start that epic 500 chapter manga usogui.

Do it. It's a masterpiece.

Also, damn, I forgot Riboku existed but he's a great pick.

[digitaldude]

Hmmm makishima shogo and joseph joestar? not seeing it.

[Demonspeed]

Hesitated about Joseph but yes he is definitely a genius, especially in BT. It is even highlighted during the battle against Wamuu.

Don't see how Makishima doesn't qualify. He is and evil genius, pretty similar to Johan from Monster (who is probably in this ranking).

Joseph Joestar - Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
@SirSamuel016 (9) @afromarco005 (2)

Mans only got 11? Damn... @GrySun

[digitaldude]

I always saw makishima as a quirk in the sybil system. But he is pretty smart will admit.

[GrySun]

Mans only got 11? Damn... @GrySun

I tend to only do 1 character per series unless I can‘t help it, so I took Bucciarati from JoJo. Joseph is certainly a genius too but in the mind-reading and scheming sense.

Plus, he calculates the position of the sun before jumping into a well, unlike high IQ Pillar Men.

Victorique de Blois - Gosick

To be continued...

[GrySun]

Forgot Saiki He'd have been on my list for sure.

Victorique is kinda like female Conan but not a shrunk older person.

[Riku]

Kaiji is the ultimate lazy genious - he becomes utterly brilliant only when backed to the utmost corner and on verge of death.

--- Double Post Merged, Dec 21, 2020, Original Post Date: Dec 21, 2020 ---

I like Ranpos schtick a lot. That he thinks he has a super power just like rest of the cast, but actually doesn't. He just a smart boy.

[Brandish μ]

Noda Megumi - Nodame Cantabile
@Erinyes

I shoulda spent some points here.

Machida Hajime - Machida-kun no Sekai
@revo

Definitely great at understanding people. Is he really a genius? Maybe.

Glad to see him shared for once, nice pick Erin-chan!

Thats one of the pick i ve never expected to be shared, thxs for picking it, it makes me happy
Funny coz, initially wanted to include some manga panels, and the one i picked for him was exactly this part of his speech !

I love the guy, but is he really a genius? He's got traits that are desirable in this day and age - disciplined, incredible focus, has values he chooses as fair and correct rather than pandering to the crowd - just not sure he's approaching or is an outlier in anything. Then again, I chose several charas that aren't off the charts, so I get the selection.

DAMN SHOULD HAVE ADDED ALIBABA IN HERE. @Linali I HAVE TO ASK YOU IF YOU ALSO DID NOMINATE ALIBABA? BECAUSE WE CANNOT FORGET THE SMARTEST OF THE SMARTEST THAT MADE EVERYONE SPEECHLESS DURING HIS CONTRIBUTION IN THE FINAL ARC. LIKE WOW WHAT A FUCKING GENIUS HE WAS! IT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!

I can remember when I had great expectations for Alibaba. Coming back all wise and stuff. Then he got back his human form, spoke to Morgiana and the rest is history.

So , finally, ouki appears. Tbh, I would have liked to include cruel prodigy kanki here but wanted to limit to 1 per series and already had 2 from kingdom.

How hard was it to choose Ri Boku?

[Elusia]

LOL Alakazam?

To be fair, Alakazam is a very intelligent pokemon. Also shown to be reasonable in games like pokemon mystery dungeon o/

Nonetheless, he's a terrific pick. Same with Saiki

Agreed actually, though just like with Machida and some other picks, decided to also pick characters based on what Erin wrote about "emotional intelligence", hence why I decided to go with him.

Yugami is also the best in his class and in his club, but I didn't pay that much attention to it and just decided that he's smart in his own way about how he wants to live his life and tbh, rereading the series he uses logic and analyzes a lot in every situation.

Weird pick I know, but his character is weird as well.

How hard was it to choose Ri Boku?

Probs as hard as choosing Akainu or Black zetsu, but still not harder than seeing jellal giving his speeches. (Tho riboku was also getting into tht domain slowly, but now his deux ex machinia missing,I expect him to return back to his usual normal self)

Lmao, low key, i like the guy. He had to use all tht he had to corner ouki and tht too wouldn't have been possible if not for moubu falling into trap. So, I kinda appreciate tht due to him, got to see OUKI greatness even in death. As they say, for a warrior, the way he died matters a lot too.
