The NBA just fined KD for the leaked conversation and it just baffles me. How you going to fine someone for a conversation they had in private? regardless of it being leaked but ESPECIALLY it came to be public knowledge through someone else's actions.

Guess there are things in their contracts about conduct that I'm not aware of...

Was up late watching First Take last night and a lot of viewers (62%+) thought he shouldn't be fined which I thought was shocking.

There's a few issues I have with the whole thing. Firstly, yes he did have private messages leaked but not only did he use derogatory language to the guy but he also made a threat. Regardless of your identity, he used slurs which can be hurtful to people and he didn't apologize for using that language but that people saw that. Does that mean he thinks that sort of language is okay to use when punching down on someone? It shouldn't be, and he needs to clean his act up. Given he also made a threat to the guy, that also warranted a fine because when you're at the highest level of the sport you shouldn't be acting like that, there are standards that need to be upheld. All I'll say is, we saw some outrage when Myers Leonard used anti-semetic slurs without proper knowledge on how they're hurtful yet we've seen none of the sort for KD using homophobic slurs. Some might argue it's a different kettle of fish but it's still harmful language that has power, especially when it's someone with the following the size of KD.

End of the day, he has to be held accountable and made to realise that using that sort of language isn't okay.

fantasy had a trade deadline in default setting, didn't notice. now we can't trade anymore. seems pointless so i made a poll if you guys want to remove it.
i think the deadline should be when brackets start instead of completely removing it

i mean i get your point. that's why there is a vote, to get everyone standpoint. if there is 2 or 3 who think it's unfair then no change but if out of 10 you're the only one who vote No, you'll have to bite the bullet on that one.
