I enjoyed blue box but that ending kinda bothers me it was weird if this manga didnt came out around the same time as witch watch that did the exact trope in it's first chapter my feelings about it would have probably be different

Excellent issue this weak. Loved pretty much everything, especially Nine Dragon, I haven't wished for something to become a hit in a long time, even if it might not be in the league of all the spokon greats so far.

Jujutsu Kaisen had an important chapter full of interesting lore, but the execution felt very amateurish and awkward to me, at least the rest of the casts' remarks made the infodump less dry. Several pages were just like that recent (lol) HxH chapter that's been memed to hell (at least that had the excuse of explaining powers and mind games to dumb kids). You can only get away with this once you have made it to the top.

But man, im so sad about Build King, not because it ended (nosedived after arriving at the continent) but because of all the wasted potential of a much needed adventure manga. Just an all around terrible transition from the one shot into this confused battle manga. What the hell happened?

Yozakura has me disappointed too. I could not wait for this arc, but now I'm so bored with every chapter, very repetitive. I don't feel invested in any of this.

I was pleasantly surprised how natural and un-jump like Blue Box was, but then the ending came and that setup just stinks of repetitive, generic ass shonen romcom hijinks. Hope it proves me wrong.

As for the twist at the end of Blue Box, I'd say execution matters. In this case, the author did a good job of building it up without being too-in-the-face obvious. Rather, it's the nice kind of twist that makes you go "Of course, it was so dang obvious"

On another note, it has been 4 years since RxL, and Hideki Matsuyama just won the Masters, the most prestigious Major of all. Congrats to him. Somehow, I can't help but think how prescient Fujimaki has been. We got Steph Curry and now Matsuyama.

I don't think Build King was a humiliation at all. It was a mess, and so it ended, but it's obviously something he was passionate about and he gave it his best shot. If he or Fujimaki learned from their mistakes and decide to come back in the future I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Besides, you act like Shimabukuro is the only alumni in the magazine right now.

It just occurred to me, but Murakoshi (the editor for Witch Watch) is also the editor for Blue Box, right? I wonder if that contributed to the direction the series is taking at all.

Fantastic
Blue Box- Best first chapter of 2021 along with elusive samurai. Hope that this will be pure romance or multiple couples indeed of harem rom-com.
Dr Stone- Its all or nothing now,
Elusive Samurai- Great showcase of new member abilities.
Mashle- Over the top action and quick and funny gags. This chapter showcased mashle strongest sides
Cop and Dolphin- It's like I am reading a completely different series. Really love those flashback chapters. I will miss this series when it's over.

Great
Black Clover- Haven't seen those two in a while. Hope we see another team fight. Black Clover has the best use of teamwork in all of jump
Ball Parade- Even if I do not really understand all rules of baseball I understood the strategies they were using. The pacing of the match is to the point and snappy.
MHA- Deku sure has come a long way.
Yozakura Family- Villian sacrifice was impactful considering his low panel time. Hyped for the showdown next week
Undead Unluck- Those last few chapters want us to care for Shen and they are doing a good job.
Sakamoto days- Glad the dynamic of the Shin and Lu is getting explored

JJK- A lot of exposition in this chapter. I know all this info is important for later chapters just wished that it was executed better.
Ayakashi Triangle- So another ayakashi joins the shenanigans not bad.

BAD
Witch Watch- it is so boring, might drop it or put it on hold. I like the artwork and references to the other series but everything else is so plain to me.
Highschool Family- How far can one man go...
I tell C-The real story starts now... again
Build King- Rushed ending to the rushed manga. I know it gets one more chapter in volume release but doubt that will give this series a satisfying end.

Blue Box - That was a great start and that twist at the end - dope!
Sakamoto Days - Great art as always and we gonna have some Shin arc.
Kowloon's Ball Parade - Game on!
Dr. Stone - Pure eyecandy stuffs from Boichi and the story thickens!

Good:
Jujutsu Kaisen - A lot of information.
My Hero Academia - Expected, but satisfying.
The Elusive Samurai - Consecutive good chapters, this arc is heating up.

Fine:
Witch Watch - He stripped her down, lol. So he'll move on with them?
Build King - What a cliffhanger! Well, pity for the series, the potential was there for sure.

Meh:
I tell C - What? A prologue? The story just begun? And a time-skip? Seem like the author is trying to evade the axe.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I recall Murakoshi not having a good track record at launching new series. What’s he handled so far?

Aside from launching the currently running Blue Box, Witch Watch and Burn the Witch (he was an editor of Bleach in the past), Murakoshi launched Phantom Seer, Guardian of the Witch, Tokyo Shinobi Squad, Yui Kamio, I'm From Japan, Act-Age, Full Drive, Ole Golazo and Samon the Summoner.

So yeah, aside from Act-Age and Burn the Witch, not the most successful catalogue. So far at least, Witch Watch and especially Blue Box do have potential after all

I’ll be honest the first couple of chapters of Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi were awful, or at least they weren’t one bit of my likings. It got a lot better and easier to comprehend (although I still haven’t memorized one single name) and I’m enjoying every new chapter. Still, I’m not sure what’s making it very popular in Japan and have high placements in the TOC. I’m happy for it and I’m hoping for the best nonetheless.
