I'm wondering if some of you might get the so-called "princess arc" you wanted after all:

- Rei makes an offer (that Baam can't refuse), of marriage of course - princesses are singled out as ideal candidates because of course they are
- Baam declines, 'consent' is required....
- Rei moves to force his hand
- Gustang interrupts/shennanigans
- A proper wife is prepared, unknowingly to her, Rei 'retreats' to her to speed along the union (if his will put them near Lilial's ship after all)

- Lilial freaks out, tells her sister in a pocket-call?
- Shilial alerts ______ (Mas? The princess council? Tower News? etc) in an effort to save her sister? Alternatively: their pocket-call is intercepted
- Other family heads want Baam too (we know this is true to varying degrees), catch wind of what's going on, don't want it to be Rei who gets him
- As does Zahard, wanting peace, or at least the status quo
- A mad dash for Baam is about to ensue by each Great Family drooling over the irregular
- An agreement is made, perhaps a decree from Zahard himself, to have the princesses duke it out for the winner to wed Baam
- The FH's concede to a proxy war instead of directly fighting each other - for now
- A 'Princess Games' is established, now we have a full-on princess battle royale, i.e. the 'princess' part of the 'princess arc'
...
- Forever Alone Baam still doesn't get married no matter the result of the games, as that's just not in the cards for him. The FHs will probably not accept the results anyways (a rival getting an irregular to add to their house), or something else happens (Baam, FUGs, Urek's involvement in the games), and the next arc begins with Total War

My 2 before seeing the spoilers:

The "best" I can see SIU doing these days would be something like this:

1. Baam turns down Rei's offer(s)
2. He/we get some exposition explaining, in particular, whatever loophole would allow Baam to marry even a princess (candidate)
3. (Probably) we also learn "marriage" is more like "engaged, with the marriage in a couple centuries / after doing these tasks 3 13
4. Baam subsequently finds out Androssi has gotten herself in some deep, deep trouble
5. Baam bails her out by (unilaterally) announcing they're secretly engaged
6. On the one hand, this causes more problems than it solves...
7. ...but on the other hand, it's just a formality, premarital anything is somehow illegal, there's also some qualifying tasks Baam has to complete, and so nothing really changes vis-a-vis character dynamics, character relationships, and so on

...with both (a) Rachel-related shenanigans and (b) gathering the 13 months playing into the mix (somehow).

The "worst" I can see SIU doing these days is to basically have Baam make a big speech about how he ain't going to let anyone push anyone around like Rei wants to do, at which point this baam-chelor plot thread eventually fizzles out and gets memory-holed.

After seeing the spoilers: of course it's going to be a multi-month tournament. Maybe SIU will spice it up a bit by (somehow) making possession of a 13 month series into an entry requirement?

If we do go for a full-on (unwilling) baam-chelor situation I expect SIU will deliberately model it on the workshop battle arc—callbacks and all. In particular, whatever the tournament premise is won't matter much, b/c the tournament will go very sideways before it's over.

But he had lives for long, so do he has 1 or 2 child at each 10 years? But how do AA, his older sister, Ran and Maria in close birth time? Could possible few other direct as well, may even Kiseia a direct too???

Isn't by that he supposed had 20k children???

I was certain that Baam would be single at the end of this arc(no marriage or marriage then divorce) but with Traumerei's announcement the possibility of Baam marrying someone who would be his love interest is a bit higher now.

All the Princesses are Zahard's potential wives. It wouldn't matter. I don't think there is a Regular with a 13MS anyway. If that tournament isn't restricted to Regulars, having a 13MS shouldn't be a reason to exclude someone.

All the Princesses are Zahard's potential wives. It wouldn't matter. I don't think there is a Regular with a 13MS anyway. If that tournament isn't restricted to Regulars, having a 13MS shouldn't be a reason to exclude someone.

Perhaps, Zahard doesn't know Baam ate up Black March.
If he does, I don't see a reason why he should let a 13 months holder participate without giving up that weapon.
13 months series aren't just any weapon.

Yeah, everyone is Jahad's potential wife.
But the main competition is between the 13 months holder.
Since only the princess who can collect all 13 weapons becomes his wife.
