Yeah, there's still time to change things up but it would be best if we have everyone first comment on that to get a general feel. I mean from the list we can already make 3 green pairs, but that's not good enough as mafia could already tonight take one of them out.

Apologies if this has been asked - if player X is a legit spy and they use their spy action on player Y, and player Z targets player X for a role swap, all during N1, will player Z receive the spy PM for player Y's N1 activity on D2 given the weapon (role/allegiance) has been excised from player X?

You know, since non of us townies want to end up screwing ourselves over, I would start with the list and then make it short by colouring in the people that generally don't oppose the idea and people that do. The people from the latter I would exclude right away from the swap as it seems dangerous, or what do you think?

So we would ideally have everyone say yes or no and then pair up the yeses (and basically start lynching the no people lol).

Think of it like Pirate stealing Spy. The original Spy gets the PM with the result of investigation, not the new Pirate Spy.

Since spying is prio 2, the original spy will receive the result before their role is traded with player Z!

I see what you mean, but why wait another night?

If we swap in the same night and both keep their initial role, we know for sure both are town, as mafia can't swap at all, if one of the 2 is mafia, they will swap allegiances which is also a good outcome for town.

Ah, so this is about good townie roles doing the double swap so they can keep their actual role and thus be more intrigued to move along with this plan.

No. It‘s a cointoss. First I swap with Asako, then Asako swaps with me, all in same night, prio 4.

Idk, my enjoyment of the game is plummeting due to this mechanic. Not what I looked forward to.

You confuse me. I don‘t think we are on the same page.

The pair swap idea is to see on D2: ok these 2 swapped and still have their roles, they are town. These 2 were supposed to swap but they actually did, meaning one of the 2 didn‘t or couldn‘t swap. A mafia is likely among those 2.

What are you and Asako on about with a night delay?

Not much, I guess I hoped to gain a more entertaining role outta this but I guess I have to stay fine with either confirming myself with Holt or ending up as a scumbag with Holt holding on to my role then.

You do realize that Mafias will likely say yes the loudest right? After all is them joining the likely to win team while the ex-townies are stuck with their mafia roles from day 2 on. Makes me wonder if you are scum, Evil. Not that it matters, guess we find out with Gaj once you switched roles or not.

Plus Mafia have another reason to swap into a townie role, they do not know yet who their partners are until night 3, so they cannot know what kind of abilities are on their side or if its like a dream team with Veteran players who are really good at this game or not.

Hopefully there aren't too many who don't want to swap. Personally, I think it's okay if we have a small minority of non-swappers. As long as there are no pairs of non-swappers. A no-man must be paired with a yes-man.

The mafia do not know their fellow members on D1 so there's less risk with them using the system to their ad, at least today.

- Look at my playstyle since my first post, compare it to my playstyle when I'm town.

- Consider would mafia explore and push for trading so early (If you remember I was one of the first to discuss the idea and then promote it, evil's alphabetical list was shared as a reply to my post promoting the idea).

Since I'm not sure you have seen my hints I will quote them for you.

My role hint is: You won't believe me when I say it.

My First Message, before we came out with this plan.

If I'm correct we will both keep our roles, but we will know that the other is town since otherwise we will have swapped.

If you are town, the hint I dropped should be easy for you to understand, and you should see the value of this transaction (another hint is that this benefits you more than it benefits me).

These hints are easier for you to get than others because, I would appreciate if you don't take guesses in public, if you get it keep it to yourself.

- Consider if I was mafia, trying to pair with another mafia or trying to steal a town win, would I be asking you (Gry) and lambu specifically for a trade? (Either both of you are my mafia teammates or both of you are town and I hate you IRL and want a cheap win at your expanse, i must be a psychopath to pick my 2 mentors).

Also I've been having bad feeling from @Evil3ye since his first post, @Crescent Jinx post made me realize that:

Evil feels weird in comparison to the organic dialogue that’s happening between Gry, Gnut, Lambu. Like high strung? And James feels like James. Marma seems to be more active then usual. Lawl probably scum. Demon is Demon. Brandish being pretty active. Erinyes feels weird too. And Vandred.

I wanted to wait and see how he will interact today and he is very smooth, the only topic he interacted with today is the List, otherwise just being agreeable, reminds me of Evil / Sakura Lover game where he switched to being agreeable when it served him.

Would they? Certain people saying straight up "No I don't want to change my role" rather just looks to me like they don't want to find themselves in an awkward situation in which they could easily be cornered because they do not have the ability to initiate the trade themselves.

Right after I posted the list I scrolled up a little and saw my guy did speak out against it, so naturally I don't want to switch with him anymore.

And if we have pairs we can also discuss the process, like what Brandish says only the left side targets the partner etc. It's not all set in stone yet so keep that in mind too before you point fingers. I obviously just don't want to work out a foolproof townie win plan just be lose the game by making a bad trade lol
