Random thought: the Numbers were disappointing as hell. I remember there were some theories of the top 3 numbers being the samurai that were chained up with kid Yamato. Literally zero payoff from that.

I don't know man. Firstly, you got hype up by wild theories of rando online. Like this week, D23, "leakers" are saying Disney/Marvel gonna announced x and x some x crazy shit. And it didn't happened, and people got angry because Disney didn't do what some rando said online.

Secondly, the numbers at the strongest are supposed to be weaker than Kaido and the all stars, the flying six, Hawkins and Apoo. So at best they would be 13th strongest in the crew. And who were they up again? X Drake one of the flying six? Luffy who supposed to beat Kaido this arc. Yamato who is at 1st Yonko level. One of them was taking out by Franky who supposed to beat a flying six (above the Numbers) by using one of his stronger attack, Radical Beam. Hell, Senior Pink didn't even tank a direct Radical Beam. They nerfed Franky so hard that arc. That he just doing straight up close combat punching while his strongest of attacks are range attack and that is a crafty fighter and not just straight up brawler. And lastly CP0 agents who supposed to be some of the strongest fighter in the government. People who comparable to Izou, one of the more prominent of Whitebeard commander. The people who defeat Apoo and X Drake, both of whom are above the numbers. So it is all in your head.

Learn this lesson, don't listen to rando online and got hype up for no reason. This is like getting annoy that Mr. 7 and Miss Father Day were nothing more than annoyance. And funny enough their placement in Baroque Works would be around where these Numbers are.

And perspective matter. Had just one of these guys fought the entire strawhat crew preskipped. You would be like WOW, so strong. But of course, when stacked them up against people of heavier weight class. Then yeah, their result is exactly where they are at.

Anyway, I hope no one piece fans would waste their money for this bullshit artist, trying to ride that Oda's gravy train. Near 2000 dollars or what? He bought 100+ volumes and strung them together to the point of not readable and then HD printed ODA's FREAKING art. What the heck did he do, outside of putting his name on there? Hell half of that money is went to buy the actual volume, so I guess he made a good 500-900 dollars per unit sold. May as well just buy the separate volumes. At least you can read it. And then buy multiple One Piece art prints, and buy a nice action figure or something. And you still have plenty of money left over.

I think they were more mysterious than hyped. I don't remember any statements about them being particularly strong or even comparable to the Tobis.

Hype up in the manga? Is Flying Six not hype up? Supernovas like Apoo and X Drake and Hawkins and Luffy? Yamato not hype up? CP0 not hype up? Is Pacifista not hype up? And Franky is a much much better Pacifista? So some of these folks who beat these characters that above the numbers like Franky (Sasaki), CP0 (X Drake, Apoo, Izou), Luffy (Kaido). And even people in this power hierarchy that better than these characters like X Drake and Yamato (Ulti).

So what the hell do you want really? Yamato who one shot Ulti struggle against a number? CP0 agents the STRONGEST in the government is weaker than Apoo's underlings? That is your reading comprehension? Hell Captains in the marine were so hype up. And then by Enies Lobby, the Strawhats were dealing with a bunch of them as foot soldier during the buster call. These numbers maybe scaling to Oars pretimeskipped. Who was pretty extremely impressive. Even people like Dorry and Broggy are above Luffy during Little Garden. But do you think Luffy struggle against them now.

So how do you stack your "hype" characters against Oda's "hype" characters?

One thing to think they are strong. That is still within the possibility. But another thing to think they are the 3 daimyo. And I think the strongest link was like. Hmm 3 numbers, 3 Daimyo. Three. Logic and fact. Now I am scare with all these videos with million of views about what the One Piece is. Boy, that would be some severe backflash. The whole the raid will fail, or Zoro killed Kaido. It is fine to speculate. But speculation may or may not turn out correct. Be severely disappointed over your own speculation is just weird. You may as well write your own fanfic, and be happy with that reality. I unsubb to Mr Morj despite I was one of the people on this forum hype the hell out of the guy when he barely had any subs. The dude become unbearable. I am reading One Piece of Oda's writing. I am not reading for what Morj would have done. In due time, I probably gonna resub.

I hope Blackbeard or someone else comes to Wano to force Yamato out of her shithole of a fate.

Because having Yamato repeatedly be shown wanting to be free to sail and then drop that just for Wano babysitting is a shitty ass writing decision otherwise.

I don't care how Wano's defenselessness is brought up or what that shitty Admiral Treebranch did, because Yamato going on and on with the narrative of wanting to be free at sea just to change her mind like that comes off to me as a waste of time. It feels like a waste of time, and I don't like that, because nobody likes their time being wasted, including me, as well as many other people who had to put up with Yamato's pleas to sail and be shown her past as to how much that was kept from her.

So then, I guess I'm counting on people like Blackbeard to help me feel that my time wasn't wasted into the shitter then. With that, I can only hope for the best after how this turned out.

I can't remember where that's from but it's clearly an opening from around the time of Impel Down / the start of Marineford.

If it's not from the series, is from any of the fighting videogames that came out around that year.

Then one arc latter we got Thriller Bark is both an island and a big ship. And consider the whole arc Water 7 is revolving around Pluton which is a big ship.

It's always like that, Oda goes full circle with its themes. There is much more to be discovered in Water 7 saga, particularly the disappaerance of a certain character as if Oda didn't want to keep him around for too long...

Also very interesting is the make-up of Water 7. We later learn in detail of how cities in One Piece are made up, that is in the Post-War Arc with Goa City. Cities consists of rings symbolizing the class structure, with the leadership being housed in a castle in the middle or above. And it's really all major places in One Piece that are made up like this:

Goa City
Alubarna
Shandora
Marineford
Fisman Island
Dressrosa
WCI

And Water 7 is like that, too, except... in the middle above everything is not Iceburg's house, but a giant fountain. If you look at the partially submerged entrance, you can see halfway submerged Seahorses decorating it. "King" Bulls, huh? I'd say this city was not built for humans...
