DF Natsu doesn't even need Erza to defeat him. You can put Erza with Gildarts or Laxus, and August will still win.
There is no characters bar DF Natsu tier in the verse who is beating August.

Irene wasn't holding back during the second half of the fight. She was really pissed off after the Wendy Belserion incident. She smashed Erza's bones and tried to kill her with Deus Sema.

Natsu probably with Savages Flames or Dragon Force can beat August in an extreme diff fight. Base Natsu gets One Shot like in canon.

Erza lost to Eileen and she was advantaged by their mother/daughter relationship (a shitty relationship that even the author didn't want to develop) she won't have that advantage against August even with POF.

The only stopped holding back when after she returned to her original body and angry as Erza had her power up to keep up. Before all that, Irene could blitz Erza before she could even react
