Sorry, wrong choice of word there. Should have said "cult" that will vote for the manga no matter what instead of a fanbase. Calling it a fanbase is underestimating it
Wdym by "no matter what"? Nue is a genuinely fantastic battle manga. With very well written characters, grounded & raw feeling drama, exciting battles, interesting lore, high stakes, and funny as hell too. It's weird how many people seem to write it off due to the harem elements & light fanservice.

But the manga is high quality regardless of the fanservice. I'm not really a fanservice guy myself, I just kind of ignore that part to enjoy everything else.
Not to mention, Nue fanservice is extremely mild compared to something like To Love Ru.
Kill Blue has the best color page in my opinion, i suppose is Noren as a maid in the cultural festival? Cute
Akane color page is very meh, it is trying to go for a "retro" vibe? definitely the least good lead cp of the series. Chojo is just fujobait but at least stylish and Kiyoshi could be more creative.
To change topics a little, I'm gonna say a few things about Murakami despite not having read even 1 chapter (so I won't be saying anything about the actual contents)
The treatment this series got was so weird and I really hope they don't do it again. Let us all be honest: it would have been dead last every week without the fixed placement.
I have never seen such a hateful reception online for a series' debut, so much so that even without proper placements everyone and their mother knew that it was gonna die sooner than everything else.
My biggest question is... What was the plan for it?? For it to become an end of magazine mainstay? Why would they get the author to such a huge flop like Shugomaru for it? And besides, they had MULTIPLE gag series that would have done far better in the same spot.
Top it all off with the actually really cool volume 1 cover that is straight up false advertising when it comes to the tone of the series and it just confuses me to no end.
There are so many aspiring mangakas from awards to submitions. Yeh I don't work in the Jump office but cmon, yall can do way better at picking. Picking Murakami author was just beating a dead horse
There's been an update to our forum rules to broaden crediting/sourcing to all series news/announcement, etc. Please read HERE
To manage thread loading speeds and general user experience, we'd apppreciate if volume covers could be wrapped in spoiler threads, going forward. If you have any questions, reach out to a staff member. Thanks for your cooperation.
