Still finds very weird how a japanese article would just casually leak the information that a Shonen Jump manga will get a anime and even the production and studio, they take these things (a bit too) seriously, if Jump would want to announce it they would have made with the issue #1 or give a Stage on Festa, if is true they must be mad, jp companies hate leak information.
makes you wonder what is even the point of the shounen jump news thing

That also makes me doubt the info... But it's not like it's the first time something leaked out like this. A better question is why the site even wanted to leak it out. Maybe they saw some prospects of getting the clickbait... But it would be damaging if they spread false information, especially as a reputable news site, so the information has to be true or they'd be in even bigger trouble...

I think Nue's Exorcist male characters have been looking more and more attractive as the series goes on.

At the time, people were glazing it, hoping it'd turn out like Morbius. Just ironic glazing, fully expecting another dead flop. Maybe even fool Jump into publishing a million copies, expecting it to sell well, only to go broke. A Samurai 8 situation, just recreate it. It would be funny. It was just the strangest roll of the dice when it turned out that everything was solid. Just being a fun read was enough to retain an audience. Then Sojo just pulled up to the shop, and it felt like a huge deal because it kicked the plot into overdrive. And it has not lost steam ever since.

As for me, I was sold on Kagurabachi by the 2nd chapter. It was these pages.

If there was a way to describe setting the mood, tone and setting of an entire series, I would point toward these pages. The dark colors, the somber feeling as the panels pan out from Chihiro, out the building and into an overview of the skyline as a big ass TOKYO just gets dumped right there. I felt the cinematography from the paneling. It gave me a good feel for the kind of story I was about to read. It just felt right. It told me I was in for something special.

Kagurabachi art for the first two pages are insane.

I wish KGB is a monthly manga sometimes so Hokazono sensei can refine the art more (not saying what we get now is bad... just saying the difference is so obvious).

It again highlight how crazy the dandadan author is. Having such peak art WEEKLY is crazy. Every single week i keep questioning how on earth it is weekly.

With this rumor/leak, I'm curious when the Kagurabachi anime will be officially announced. Here's a list I found on another site:

This should give an idea as to what's fast for WSJ series anime adaptation annoucements.

8 chapters - Boruto
16 - Jimoto ga Japan
54 - Hunter x Hunter
63 - World Trigger
65 - My Hero Academia
66 - Bakuman
73 - Ayakashi Triangle
75 - Beelzebub
76 - Bokuben
76 - Nisekoi
80 - D.Gray-Man
80 - Haikyuu
82 - To Love-Ru
83 - Dr. Stone
85 - Nurarihyon no Mago
85 - Jujutsu Kaisen
87 - Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san
88 - Yakusoku no Neverland
90 - Me and Roboco
91 - Black Clover
93 - Shokugeki no Souma
97 - Assassination Classroom
97 - Chainsaw Man
100 - One Piece
100 - Prince of Tennis
102 - The Elusive Samurai
103 - Gintama
108 - Death Note
108 - Reborn!
112 - Kimetsu no Yaiba
114 - Mashle
116 - Medaka Box
116 - Ichigo 100%
117 - Neuro
119 - Bobobobo Bobobo
120 - Eyeshield 21
123 - Toriko
124 - Undead Unluck
126 - Blue Box
127 - Hikaru no Go
134 - Naruto
134 - Shaman King
135 - Kuroko no Basket
138 - Houshin Engi
140 - Bleach
159 - Sket Dance
160 - Mission: Yozakura Family
161 - Isobee
167 - Witch Watch
168 - Sakamoto Days
175 - Hinomaru Zumou
185 - Whistle
194 - Saiki Kusuo

There is clearly no link between how fast the announcement was and how popular the manga was.
Boruto and Jimoto ga Japan were exception because obviously the anime was decided before the manga even got published. I have no idea about the exact circumstances about Jimoto. But Boruto has always been planned as an Anime/ manga franchise

That's why i am so sceptical. I want it to be true, but it is puzzling.

SugoiLite also hasn't said anything so far, i would expect a big leaker to have info about a series popular like Kagurabachi, but well, let's wait and see.

Something worth mention, i'm pretty sure that this is based in his own ranking posts that he do every week, and the problem with that is that he just collects the mentions that happens within 24 hours since release and there are some manga hashtags he doesn't count, so this data sample is very incomplete, it serves as a superficial thing but not to take too seriously. Still nice to see how much popular discussion Nue creates online.

Surprised they deleted it so fast. Did their JPN partner reach out to them to warn them???

In Other News,One Piece is on break again

Kind of already mentioned, but this Oda break is completely normal. Oda takes a regular break after every 3 chapters, disregarding the irregular and the holiday breaks. What happened was Oda dropped a set of 3 chapters, took a 2 week break in the gap that there would usually only be a 1-week break, so the next set of 3 started 3 weeks later, but then Oda got sick and caused an unplanned 2 week break, which meant 3 weeks later was when he picked up with the remaining 2 chapters in the 3 chapter batch (this week and next), so the issue #3 break is back to being regularly scheduled stuff. This will probably feel even harder due to the New Year holiday coming up, so the next set of 3 will also be broken into a set of 1 and 2 by a break week, though that'll be a little more obvious to everyone.

Very interesting placements to see, surprised to see Nue as prominent as it is but I won't complain haha. This makes me very eager to see the new year's cover in a few weeks to see how the series get placed on the actual magazine cover itself.

What was the post about?
Crunchyroll store and Kinokuniya bookstore said the "Kagurabachi anime was confirmed" using it to as advertisement for buying volume 1

I neglected to address it earlier, but looking at how many pages we were able to generate in just a week, something tells me it won’t be very hard to reach 1000 pages this year if things stay this eventful, haha.

Did a little reading and they're apparently a pretty well respected business newspaper in Japan. One of the three biggest in the country and currently the oldest by a bit as well I think? Not saying it's factual or anything, I know how the news can be in my country, but definitely not a random article and that's why a lot of the bigger manga news accounts (and not only the sensationalists like tsumi, lol) have been spamming it as gospel.

Had a bit of time to sober up and CyGames is still such a funny choice to me. Like, if anything you think a gacha company would shoot for Nue instead. Regardless, looking at the article now and they mentioned Shueshia choosing them over, say, MAPPA or one of the usual suspects because they want to avoid a collapse in production. If that's true I'm in good spirits. It's probably the best outcome a fan of the series could have hoped for. Now we just gotta play the waiting game and see if any of this is true in like, a year or two or three.

LMAO why is Kinokuniya posting about it
I honestly didn’t expected a big studio for kgb, like Mappa or Ufotable are booked, at best I could see Bones because MHA end or Madhouse, but Cygame is a surprise.
Also funny how the edgy manga is adapted by the same studio that did Idol anime

Gotta thank me commenting about no way Nue/Kill Blue getting anime before Kagura. Amirite? I got to start more arguments (/joking)
