The recent One Piece movies have been a lot of fun. I’m excited to see what the next one will be about

Gonna be hard to top the Shanks hype from Film Red

Granted Psyren is a different case since it's older, but 3 of the 4 anime announced in 2025 are of cancelled manga.

At this rate, it may very well be the last film before the One Piece is found.

I beg to differ. The last two One Piece movies have been terrible. And the worst part is they took up a lot of Oda's time.

So, who is this Kumori Harada fellow?
Do you have any raws of their GIGA one-shots, Phantom? If at all...
He participated in the GIGA issue celebrating Black Clover 10th anniversary, @Phantom RPG has the one shot, he will post to you when he's online 👍
Here is the link for Kumori Harada's one shot, it was the very first one I posted back in the 2025 issue for jump giga summer 2025.

Look up Bingo, that is the name of the one shot in particular. Its a rather good thriller like one shot and if the author keeps the same energy in this one shot we might get ourselves a new Fujimoto in the magazine.

Here is his very first one shot in jump giga spring 2025, its called "Harinezumi no Jirenma" not his best but you can see how much he improved in a short span in the summer issue with bingo(Thanks Magister Xehanort for the post in question):

Also, Shinobi is not wrong to feel like this author might have or still is an assistant for Fujimoto. The art style seems somewhat inspired by him in some way.

Also, won't be surprised at all if one or two of the authors in this particular issue make some debut during 2025, I remember having a good time with it like I did with the autumn issue.

My personal pick would be Motobucho, Aoi Tora(he already made a debut with a short story but I do anticipated this author to fully debut a series sometime in the future), Ugou Sumi, Nakata, Okada Masaru, Hinohori Yawara, Tanaka Toto, Akio Bulldog, Aokigahara Kenta, and Ishidera Yuuki are the ones with a good amount of potential for debut of either one shot or series. At least for me.

Feel free to disagree or agree.

Just looked up both of them and they were interesting skims, I'll tell you that much...
It's not often we see prison Shōnen, with the only notable examples being Stone Ocean and...
Nice Prison...

& Harinezumi no Jinma, kinda feels like it would be something, but because I can only understand licks of Japanese, didn't really felt as compelling as a look for me, TBH.
Though I'm sure others might disagree with me on that front...

Psyren TV Anime is officially announced in the Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #3! The studio is Satelight!

Ageha Yoshina: Rikuya Yasuda
Sakurako Amamiya: Mayuko Kazama

Director: Katsumi Ono
Series Composition: Shin Yoshida
Character Design, Shiro Okuma
Music: Takashi Oma, Tatsuhiko Saiki, Kanematsu
Production: Satelight

Iwashiro Toshiaki message and new illustration:

"It's being made into an anime! I'm happy to be able to tell my parents and family this, something I wasn't able to do 16 years ago. When young creators and anime producers greeted me with blazing, passionate eyes, saying they loved Psyren and read it when they were teenagers, I'm so moved and grateful to see those people now adults... and involved in the anime adaptation. I hope everyone can enjoy Psyren! I was involved in many aspects of the script, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the Ageha in action!"

That illustration of Ageha gawking must be the exact reaction when Iwashiro was approached for the anime. I would’ve spit my drink if I was in Iwashiro’s position.

Just to say this once.

Harinezumi was the first one shot made by the author in question, bingo is his second one and it shows a vast amount of improvements that ultimately prove superior to his first one shot.

Although now I do kinda want to see Motobucho, author of the Datengoku one shot, to make a debut i liked the world and style of art he used in specifically.

It almost feels unreal to actually see a Psyren anime key visual and the character designs look good, they don't remind you of Bleach anymore and feel more distinct. The director has experience with ongoing anime as well so that's a good sign for an adaptation also.

Do people really like the recent one piece movies? I don't like how cameo and reference heavy it has been since stampede. I thought this and Film Red were downright terrible movies. It's full of gimmicky bullshit to sell the movie instead of just writing a cool story.

I miss how good Strong World and Film Z was. Strong world had the best chemistry depiction of the strawhats since Robin joined the crew and Film Z had a cool ass villain that was like the main character of the movie. Movie 6 was cool too if you just wanted something different.

I would take either a canon movie (not happening) or a fanletter like movie over anything like stampede and film red.

It would be insane going back 15 years in this Forum and tell the users in the Jump thread that Psyren would get a anime announced in 2025 for 2026 :XD

Psyren fans used to be super annoying about wanting Medaka Box, Kuroko or Nurarihyon no Mago axed instead, so maybe they would believe it. Actually went to check some 15 years old pages and there were already battle fans complaining about people saying Neuro is a hit because it doesn't sell as much as the big 3 as if that's the only metric for success. Things sadly never change. lol

I made a joke back than that Bones announced an adaptation and somehow it was taken seriously, I was even quoted, I felt bad for all the people who hoped for it to happen. I wonder now what years they will use cuz now there are a lot less payphones than 20 years ago

They should re-do PSYREN from the moment they told Iwashiro to wrap things up and finish/rush it. Let he tell the story as intended! It was amazing!
