*Prays that Kaname will be alright* I can't wait to see everyone fight against the invading vampires. Yuuki's staff-turned-scythe was quite interesting. I wonder why it changed? Also, I'm excited to see the Chairman battle the invading vampires as well.

and Yuki so kick-ass! Beat the crap out of everyone that's making this story confusing, Yuki! Still, I'm confused as ever about Yuki and Kaname's relationship. >.<

Wow, and I thought Kaname wanted to avoid that Yuuki meets Rido-sama and now it's her (and Aidou + Zero) against him. Yuuki is really an unruly child. *shakes head*
Kaname wanted to protect her and what is she doing? Running into the enemy's arms. Yet, Zero's appearance was quite cool. *thumbs up*

Vampire Knight Guilty (Anime 2nd Season)

News from the most recent issue of LaLa (released 7/24).

The 2nd season of the anime will be called Vampire Knight Guilty and will begin airing on TV Tokyo networks on 6th October at 1:00 am (time to be confirmed).

The new opening and ending songs will once again be peformed by ON/OFF and Wakeshima Kanon respectively.

There'll be 13 episodes, same with the first season, and there are no changes with the voice actors/actresses for Zero, Kaname, and Yuki.

I was totally surprised over Zero's new power. I'd never expected vines--with the way his shadow looked in chapter 40, I was thinking maybe it'd have something to do with wolves. Vines really don't seem that vampire-like to me, but then, none of the other vampire powers that we've seen--Aidou's ice, Kain's fire, even Shiki's blood-whip are really vampire-ish powers either. At least Zero DID look cool though!

For chapter 43...I think Yuuki is going to end up being a liability, rather than a help, in the fight, which will force Zero to protect her, finally proving to both Yuuki (and himself) that he doesn't really consider her an enemy.

I also have the strong suspicion that before Rido finally dies, he'll tell Yuuki and Zero that there's someone else out there who is an even bigger threat to them than himself. I have no idea who it could be, (maybe it'll be someone who has something to do with Kaname being the first ancestor?), but in any event something like this kinda has to happen, otherwise, the series has no reason to continue after this saga. I mean, with Rido out of the way, none of the characters really have to worry about past tragedies since it seems like he caused the majority of them. (They should technically be able to move on with their lives.) Besides which, after all the action, it'll be nearly impossible for the series to return to being a mostly school-related manga, so you kinda need another villain.

There has to be another enemy out there or else the story would be all for not. Zero looks cool the way he comes in, in this chapter. Rido will die eventually. I can't image him still surviving an attack from Yuuki and Zero together, for long.
