but think that Ren's death (I also think he's dead, but who knows...?) was beautiful in a way. I've cried for the silliest things yet when reading the end of the chapter I was more like surprised by the way it was presented, no tears for Ren.

Maybe true, but Ai plays loots of pranks with the name "Ren" in the future chapters, and some of those times you cant really know if its big or little Ren. Not sure what will happen now though... hoping for a new future chapter (with some god damn Shin and Reira action!)

You're right. Yazawa sensei just messes up with the mind. In one of the chapters which shows them in 707 in the future, one of them mention that Ren is doing fine. Now it makes me wonder which Ren is that too. Are they talking about the little ren when he's overseas?

i predict though that the next chapter will focus primarily on Nana O. And I'm really also very eager to know her reaction about the news. Everybody else's reactions as well.

I think maybe Nana will breakdown anytime soon, and the scandal surrounding Ren or maybe the reporters'll find out he's on drugs etc. It seems that everything is beginning to make sense - reira's tears, nana's disappearance etc.

Dont think she even know that he used to take drugs and got clean. Dont think they will tell here for while though, she will probly crash hard enough when she finds out about the car crash.


About the "Ren is alive" thing, i have done some backtracking in the manga to look for clues. So far the only thing i have found is when Shin and Yasu are talking in the car (dont remember what chapter it is) and Shin says "Hachi think that Ren was the one who droped of the photos". Now, Yasu seems pretty chocked by that, Hachi probly meent that Ren drop it of as a "guardian angel" or something, but there is a tiny, tiny, tiny hope that Ren is alive... Guess we will find out in the next one.

Takumi: Yeah, eh, one more thing: Ren was pretty much snorting anything he could get his hands on, tripping balls so to say.

omg! i just realized what had happened! ren`s got into accident and died...oh my,now all of this make senses. i cried too when i read that chapter.but, there`s one thing i don`t understand :

in page 37-what is nana doing sitting on the balcony (so it seems like that to me), but in the next page,nana is actually walking out from a car ready for a performance maybe. does this means that ren was actually seeing a vision of nana before he crashed onto the wall?

Belle-chan, that's my interpretation too.

Nana is often associated with the cat a lot in the manga. And Ren sees a cat in the balcony where he thought of Nana. Take note he was also on withdrawal and may have been delusional. Probably at that last minute Ren finally realized that Nana wanted to go home with him, and he'd just been abandoning her all this time.

Probly symbolic, as babosai said it might have been a cat. Then again, could it have been Misato?

Thanks, you are sooooo right. It never even crossed my mind that Nana (Hachi) has 2 children. All the time I was thinking it might be Reira's son with either Shin or Takumi but the ages didn't seem to be right. I have to read those chapters again. You are brilliant.

Guess I just didn't put 2 and 2 together. I thought that young Ren was Reira's son probably because the next scenes switched to Reira in the park again plus she is also in England. The blonde hair threw me off course too because it is more like Reira then it is of either Hachi or Takumi; but then again Nobu has blonde hair also so??? Anyway, thanks for your insight; there seem to be a lot of twists and turns possible.

At the fist sight I also thought Ren was Reira's child but than she was saying that she wanted to destroy everything Takumi had but couldnt destroy little Ren and couldnt understand the reason why he as so special.In my opinion it is because he reminds her REN.
Reira is the most sensitive and childish and cruel and teen -spirited character in this story.I used to love her and thought she was really strong but now I think that she is the most selfish of all the characters.She seems to be in love with Shin but also loves Takumi but like in the Takumi side story ,I guess she really has a brother complex for Takumi,no more than that and she wants him only to be hers.

Heard somwhere that there were going to be 20 volumes, but that dosent sound right as i look at it today. Cant be so much left though, considering that things are starting to wrap up.
