I was fairly surprised that Löw didn't get sacked after that match. As I said before the WC began, if there's one thing that will prevent Germany from winning the WC, it'll be Löw or Löw's tactics. I might've liked to have seen Hitzfeld (Switzerland's manager) manage Germany for this WC.

Yeah, this was a good match, but Portugal didn't really show up, CR7 was clearly still a bit injured (He lacked his usual attacking verve and it didn't help that his fellow attackers couldn't pass to save their lives. Did you see when Nani just had to square it to CR7 for a good shot and the ball only traveled half of the distance to him?), and then Pepe ended any possibility of the match being a contest after they were down 2-0.
So am I. Well it is possibly the strongest squad Germany ever had. If we still don't win the title... Dunno...

Portugal never does. They just can't win against us. A team that only depends on one player won't beat Germany. Like Argentina with Messi.
Yes he wasn't at 100% but would that have changed something? Boeteng was completely on fire again. The whole german defense was outstanding.

And Pepe... Well he is Pepe...

How did they win 3 World Cups then?

If Portugal isn't truly good, then there are only like 6 ¨truly good¨ teams.
I was clearly talking about the recent World Cup (2002 to 2010). The more far from today, less relevant is the observation anyway. You are generalizing something that obviously cannot be generalized just to disagree with me. Really, stop with your butthurt.

"Truly good" aka Favorites: Brazil, Netherlands, Spain (more or less XD), France, Argentina, Germany.
Yes, six.

Anything past 2006 is irrelevant if you're gonna use that point of view. And with that point of view, I could say that Brazil has a history of failing to get in the top 4. Would I be right?

I'm not butthurt, wtf, but you keep talking nonesense.

How the hell is France better than Belgium?!

And defeated you at the wc multiple times. 1990, 2006 and 2010. You only won against us 1986.
You robbed us in 1990 and in 2006 it was a tie. History favours us, 9/6.

Yes, you're right. lol
I didn't say that as a fact that cannot be changed. I'm just commenting that this overwhelming debut happened before and we have to be careful with the shout "Germany champion" just because of this. lol

Yes, it is butthurt. You're not even reading what I'm writing properly.

Okay, put Belgium there as well. No complains. :XD

Okay then, following your logic Brazil has a history of failing to get in the top 4, so, naturally, they won't do it again this time. Thanks.

How were you robbed? You played boring football 1990 and kinda deserved that loss. Germany was the better team.
2006 was a tie and you probably wouldn't have lost with the best keeper and Messi. But you did.
History doesn't favor you in world cups. As I said you only beat us once.

It was like Brazil vs Croatia :cookiestare

Even counting that robbery, it's barely 1 ahead for you. Considering every single match, it's 3 ahead for us. The point is, ¨A team like Argentina can't beat us¨ is bs.

You kinda forget that there was another scene where the referee didn't decide on penalty for Germany although it was one huh?

You had to go home and that is all that matters.

I didn't say that. I said a team which only depends on one player can't beat us. (If me play like 2010) 2010, Argentina was completely dependend on Messi. We blocked him and you lost 0:4.

Yeah you do. Augenthaler was fouled and we didn't get a penalty.

Yeah so no worries. I know that Argentina has a strong team.

Indeed.

I can't find that play, and I'm too lazy to search for it properly tbh. Was it before or after the penalty and the 2 red cards ._.?

Hazard lives up to his name - just for his own team, who aren't exactly better over all -_-

edit: 1990 final: full match ; short version (german commentary)

It was before the penalty happened. The red cards were justified too if you aks me. But it is in the past.

Belgium plays horrible... I guess they are not used to the weather?

Scenario that I feared. Our young team is paralysed by expectations. We never ever perform well when there are high expectations and expectations were never that high. In Belgium, everything is black-yellow-red. First time I see this in my life.

After games against Columbia,Tunisia and Japan, they should have known better. The team have more talent than ever but what I see is that they are not in the game at all. In official match, it's so far the worst I've seen in 2 years. Players are not moving, movement is slow and game is boring.

Anyway, if somehow, they don't wake up and win this game, they will simply say goodbye to the world cup.

Found it, it's arguable if it was a penalty. Can't be objective on this one obviously, but it looks like the the German player looks for Goycochea's contact, instead of the latter hitting him.

Yeah, Monzón deserved a red card and some years in prison.

Anyway, if somehow, they don't wake up and win this game, they will simply say goodbye to the world cup.
Come on dude, you have to beat us in quarters!

It annoy me even more knowing that the pride in our team is also keeping our nation together. The most popular political man in Belgium is a separatist who want the end of our country. He won the elections but he is not in power yet due to the overly complicated political system in Belgium.

Now, you can be sure that you will see a different team after the break. Wilmots will just tear them aparts during 15 minutes. Come on, I want to believe in that team :(.
