If you think about it, if not for Poland being shit and Colombia getting a stupid red card at the start of their first match, Mexico would likely be the only team outside of South America and Europe in the top 16... which ain't unexpected really. With a victory from Colombia, either Africa or Asia will go unrepresented next round.

WAR ( ) was supposed to erase any doubts and decrease the number of times when referee mistake would not influence a final core so much..

Meanwhile, in last few matches, it like referees confirms they mistake and still going with it a pours salt into the wound of the team that lost a goal from the offside or didn't get a penalty

Belgium you didn't disappoint me with winning the group

Overall match wasn't interesting at all because both teams have probably come with an approach to just play these 90 minutes don't get cards/injuries and don't exhaust yourself too much because two of them have already advanced to next stage

I've got the feeling that Belgium overall wanted to win more and put more into the second half and they got rewarded for that.

We will see how both teams will play further in the tournament with the fundamental player back into the first XI

So we've reached the round of 16. There're no easy matches I guess, Spain, Brazil and Belgium have relatively weaker opponents but judging by the trend in this tournament, I expect even one of these three will fail in this round. The other games are even harder to predict, particularly the ones on the first day. It'd be a bit easier if I could watch the games, I've missed most of them so far, all I know currently is "Argentina sucks" and "Neymar is a crybaby", let's see what we can make out of those.

P.S. I heard that the final 15 minutes or so of Japan vs Poland was a shame, even though I (used to) like Japan as a team, IMHO they don't deserve to go any further. Professionalism sometimes kills the sport, sorry.
