Woah! There are some serious contenders this week lol. I like 'em all. ^^

I was thinking of making a wing-themed sig based on the new movie; Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'Hoole. I juSt haven't had the time to do it though. Uni is real hectic atm so I'll be sitting on the sidelines for a while.

DON'T LET COFFEE WIN!!!!!!!!!!! NO MATTER WHAT!

@ Bugzee- I like your new ava/sig combo. It's unique and made me lol. I'm also going to be busy with Uni for awhile , so I understand. Btw, I don't think I can help you much with stopping Coffee from winning. Especially, this week, his wings entry is pretty amazing.

@Coffee- Congrats on becoming an Artist of MH!!! It's certainly well deserved. Good job on that Dragon coloring as well, it was so detailed. I really liked it.

@Roflkopt3r - I agree with Shin, your colorings are very very good, and certainly on par and even superior to some of the entries in past advanced coloring contests. I think it is also more fair for beginners, because then they won't be intimidated. For example, I think it's strange when someone who won the Amateur coloring contest over a year ago still enters the amateur category. Clearly they are good and have experience, they should enter the advanced contest and give noobs (like me) a chance.


Thanks to everyone for the feedback on my Zoro coloring. If I get any free time late in the semester I will learn to make better lineart. If I succeed, I think I'd even consider entering the advanced contest, b/c there are often less entries.

@Shin - I really like the new guitar player sig. The painting around the guitar and on the left side are very nice. A problem for me is that the edge of the render looks too sharp around the musician. I really noticed it when I set my browser to 150%. I also find the text on his arm hard to read, but I think the other text looks awesome. Nice work as always!

It was a hard choice, either sharp or blurry like hell I think this worked out very good comparing it to the blurry version. (btw I use smart sharpen so it's not that obvious unless you zoom in).

Though it makes me wonder: How much blood may a shot contain to before it gets disqualified for too much display of violence? :P

Yeah, I was having computer problems actually. It seems like every time I read several chapters of manga on the online reader I usually use I end up with some sort of trojan. Luckily, my newly installed malware software just needed to run for about two hours and then reboot and presto! So, everything's good to go!

Now, onto the important stuff!

Like I mentioned in the post your quoted, you need to meet the requirements listed in the member status request thread. If you think you do, feel free to make a post in that thread requesting the desired member status (in this case, MH artist). Then, an administrator shall evaluate your request. (The administrator may contact you for further information to make sure everything is in order, but it would be helpful if you already had pretty much everything ready to go like links to your artwork, posts, contests in which you participated, etc. ).

I hope this answers your question! Maybe I will copy this post into the FAQ thread since it is a question that seem to pop up from time to time.

The voting for the wings contest is currently underway! I see that the extra week served its purpose, as we now have eight lovely submissions. Who will sore to the top of the pack? Cast your vote and decide. Good luck to all!

The new contest is finally afoot, and it's a Halloween theme! The theme is blood! You can do anything related to blood like vampires, something with actual blood, something with the word "blood" in it, etc. Just be sure that it is nothing too violent or inappropriate! I hope this theme turns out to be more of a treat than trick!

Waited up to see the new theme. Blood - Great theme for halloween, but not Halloween specific. I like it. Not sure if I will have time to make something, because I spent my free time today fixing up that Zoro coloring. Btw, Roflkopt3r, your advice on the paths and pen tool thing really helped, wish I had known about it sooner, it's so easy to use!

So many people appreciate the "blood" theme? :O Tut tut tut...the dark side is taking over...it's an awesome theme.
