Phew, reading the posts I was worried there everyone thought that I was being mean and saying that I was against the idea~ but Farfalla got me~
I love the idea (and the newer version you've got there is even better)
I was more worried about everyones thought on their work being used and peoples opinions on the fairness of using past winners to compete in new contests. (Though Tsukisama is the one who'll decide if its ok or not.)
Speaking of that, where oh where is Tsukisama??

and you too, Gintara!), I'll probably tell you a little more about later (hooray for super-secret mod stuff
), but I am sorry for being away. Things have settled down for me for the most part and so I probably won't be absent very much after a couple more days, but I'm definitely present right now.
I have approved Shinsatsu's new submission. He sent it to me via PM, I uploaded it for him into the gallery. Since there have not been any objections, from anyone in this thread, it was allowed.
For future reference if anyone wants to do something like this, you should always contact the original artists first and see if they are okay with it and be sure to properly credit them for their work. In theory, it would be nice if you could contact the original artist for each artwork you use in your submissions, but I know that this is almost impossible in some cases and thus providing proper credit information in your submission post is the best you can do; however, when you are using artwork that you have gotten off of this site, you can and should ask your fellow MH user if you can use their artwork.
(I know Shinsatsu's submission post does not have the credit information for each signature used in his submission at the momemt. Shinsatsu is hopefully going to send me the credit information for each signature so that I won't have to look it up myself, but regardless, I'll make sure that you are all properly credited.

The new contest is up, and the theme is
mother. It is inspired by Mother's Day coming here in the United States within the coming weeks. (Don't forget to get your mother a gift!
) Your submission can be about anything related to mothers or motherhood. Pick a mother, any mother. You could even make an homage to your own mother if you really wanted. You could also use anything with "mother" in the title. It's a precious theme for a precious person.
Also, I noticed that some of you made slightly larger submissions in this past contest. Well, as one of you pointed out to me, the site has increased its rules on what is allowed for a signature. So, in keeping with the current site policy, the size specifications for submissions in the Sig Contest have also increased!
The maximum size limits for submissions are now 600 pixels for length (up from 550 pixels), 200 pixels for height (up from 170 pixels), and 400 KB for file size (up from 300 KB).
